FLEXIBLE FOLDABLE FURNITURE BY USING HONEYCOMB TECHNOLOGY
The present invention relates to an improved furniture system, particularly a sofa and a bed, which is reduced to a minimum volume for transportation. The minimum volume is created to meet the current requirements for e-commerce. A flexible foldable honeycomb structure is used in manufacturing a supporting structure for a seat and a bed frame, wherein the hexagonal shape of said structure is strong and stable and provides a high bearing capacity versus weight. The honeycomb structure is designed to be foldable and used for saving space and to be easier for delivery in a box that fits in a small car, wherein said structure used flaccid materials that are glued to each other in certain way to open and close easily, wherein the number of layers of the flaccid materials determines the expansion length of the structure and these layers together is called a block of honeycomb.
Adjustable bed foundations and related methods
An adjustable bed foundation includes an adjustable frame and at least one height adjuster configured to raise and lower a portion of the adjustable frame. The adjustable frame defines a support surface, a bottom surface opposite the support surface, and a plurality of lateral side surfaces intersecting each of the support surface and the bottom surface. A fabric at least partially covers the plurality of lateral side surfaces and is secured to a material covering the support surface. A massage device is disposed within the adjustable frame and configured to impart vibration to a mattress disposed on the adjustable frame. The massage device is secured to the adjustable frame by a flexible fastener, and a gap between the flexible fastener and the support surface is between about 2 mm and about 10 mm. Related methods are also disclosed.
Cooling fabric
A three-layer circular knitted jacquard fabric includes a first layer having a yarn made from a first material. A second layer of the fabric includes a yarn made from a second material. A third layer of the fabric includes a yarn made from a third material. At least one of the materials includes ultra-high weight molecular polyethylene. The second layer is positioned between the first layer and the third layer such that the second layer provides loft between the first layer and the third layer.
Modular mattress and bedframe system with surface positioning actuators
The inventive subject matter provides a modular mattress system wherein the mattress surface may be adjusted for positioning of a user's body. The mattress system deploys a number of interconnected mattress cells. The mattress cells may have varying characteristics, and combinations of mattress cells may be interconnected to form a complete mattress. The proximal surface is formed of padding material and collectively form the entire mattress surface when connected. At least one actuator is mechanically coupled to padding material and an actuator controller in communication therewith directs movement of the actuator to position the padding material. A mattress cell communication interface is communicably coupled to the actuator controller and configured to communicably couple with at least one external device.
Seating unit
A seating unit such as a chair, daybed, love seat or sofa. The seating unit includes a base adapted to provide a seating surface for a user and a seat back adapted to provide a surface for supporting a back of the user. A flexible joint connects the seat back as a cantilever to the base creating a horizontal pivot adapted for rotating the seat back along its Z-axis between a first stowed position and a second deployed position while substantially preventing movement of the seat back along its X-axis and Y-axis. In one embodiment, the base is a split base comprising a first portion and a second portion foldable for storage and shipping and unfoldable for use.

Temperature management bedding systems
Temperature management bedding systems for mattresses and quilt panels generally include a trilayer of active components including a phase change material applied to a top surface of a flexible substrate thereof, a fire retardant layer underlying the flexible substrate including hydrophilic rayon fibers treated with ammonium polyphosphate; and a vertically oriented fiber batting layer underlying the first retardant layer including an elastomeric binder. The temperature management bedding systems provide heat control and mass transfer of moisture from the bedding surface.
Therapeutic chair with adjustable back and method of using the same
A therapeutic chair with an adjustable backrest and cushioned fulcrum pad allows users to extend their thoracic spine over the fulcrum of the adjustable chair back. The device allows the individual to sit on the chair and adjust the height of the backrest so the fulcrum is matched to the patient's need for movement.
Humidity-responsive seat control device for vehicle
A humidity-responsive seat control device for a vehicle employs a self-transforming film including a kind of biomaterial configured to operate to be opened through gradual shrinkage thereof when humidity of a seat cover or humidity inside of the seat cover increases while operating to be closed through gradual expansion thereof when the humidity of the seat cover or the humidity inside of the seat cover decreases, thereby being capable of not only achieving smooth air ventilation in an area where a body portion of a seat occupant contacts the seat cover, but also automatically adjusting an amount of air discharged outwards through the self-transforming film in accordance with humidity.
CONTROLLABLE BEDS
A support structure for supporting a human body. The support structure includes a plurality of zones, including a hip zone, a lumbar zone, and a shoulder zone. The support structure includes at least one air bladder cell being disposed in each of the plurality of zones, each of the at least one air bladder cell being a hermetically sealed body. An air pressure controller includes a plurality of air pumps being connected to a pliable manifold, the pliable manifold being connected to one or more of a plurality of solenoid valves. A plurality of inlet tubes can each be connected at a first end to one of the plurality of solenoid valves and at a second end to the inlet port of one of the at least one air bladder cell. The number of air bladder cells can be greater than the number of zones.
