Environmental control unit including maintenance prediction
A monitoring and/or control device for an environmental control unit such as a heat pump determines the performance status and whether maintenance is required of a component of the unit for example a compressor during operation of the component. The device includes sensors configured to be situated relative to the compressor so as to receive and signal data from the compressor during operation of the component. In some embodiments, the device includes a vibration detector and a controller coupled to the vibration detector. The controller is configured to (i) receive electrical signals from the vibration detector, (ii) compare the electrical signals to a reference signal, (iii) determine the performance characteristic of the component based on the results of the comparison, and (iv) output a signal corresponding to the performance characteristic of the component to a user display. The controller may also request maintenance and/or order parts automatically.
SINGLE-STAGE ENTHALPY ENHANCING ROTARY COMPRESSOR AND AIR CONDITIONER HAVING SAME
A single-stage enthalpy enhancing rotary compressor and an air conditioner having same. The single-stage enthalpy enhancing rotary compressor includes: at least one single-stage cylinder, a rotator, an upper flange, and a lower flange. The rotator is arranged inside the cylinder and is rotatable, a compression chamber is formed between the rotator and an inner peripheral wall of the cylinder, a vapor injection opening is defined in at least one of the upper flange the lower flange, and the vapor injection opening is configured to supply gas outside the compressor to the compression chamber directly. According to the present disclosure, two-stage compression is realized without adding an extra cylinder, thereby effectively enhancing a circulation of refrigerant, improving cooling performance of the air conditioner under high environmental temperatures.
MOTOR DRIVE UNIT AND REFRIGERATION CYCLE APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, a motor drive unit includes a motor including a plurality of phase windings in a mutually unconnected state, a first inverter which controls application of electric power to one ends of the phase windings, a second inverter which controls application of electric power to the other ends of the phase windings, relays each of which includes a make break contact connected between the other ends of the phase windings, and a controller which switches, according to a value of a current flowing through the motor, between an open-windings mode and a star-connection mode.
MULTI-SPLIT SYSTEM WITH PARTITIONED CONTROL AND SELFIDENTIFICATION CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

An output end of a compressor is in communication with first interfaces of a first four-way valve, a second four-way valve, and a third four-way valve respectively, a third interface of the first four-way valve is in communication with one end of an outdoor heat exchanger, a second interface of the second four-way valve is in communication with one end of one indoor unit set therein, a third interface of the third four-way valve is in communication with one end of the other indoor unit set, and the other end of the outdoor heat exchanger and the other ends of the indoor unit sets are in communication with each other in a convergence manner; the remaining interfaces of the second four-way valve and the third four-way valve are all in communication with an air return end of the compressor.
REFRIGERATION CYCLE APPARATUS
A refrigeration cycle apparatus uses a sensor that measures temperature of a plurality of refrigerant pipes in a contactless manner. A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit in which a compressor, a heat-source-side heat exchanger, an expansion mechanism, and a use-side heat exchanger are connected in sequence. The refrigeration cycle apparatus includes a temperature detector that detects temperatures at a plurality of points in a contactless manner, and a heat-source-side controller. At least one heat-source-side heat exchanger and the use-side heat exchanger includes a plurality of refrigerant pipes through which refrigerant to be heat-exchanged flows, and a flow rate adjuster. The flow rate adjuster adjusts flow rate of the refrigerant flowing through each of the plurality of refrigerant pipes. The temperature detector detects respective temperatures of the plurality of refrigerant pipes. The heat-source-side controller controls the flow rate adjustment unit based on the temperatures detected by the temperature detector.
