The cooling system may further include a vapor cycle system (VCS) loop. The vapor cycle system loop may include the receiver, a compressor downstream from a vapor outlet of the receiver, a compressor check valve downstream from the compressor and upstream of the heat exchanger, the heat exchanger, and the heat load downstream from a liquid outlet of the receiver.
AIR CONDITIONING PROCESS
A process for conditioning air, by means of a main circuit, the main circuit being a vapor compression circuit, wherein a first refrigerant circulates, and a secondary circuit with no compressor, wherein a non-flammable second refrigerant including a hydrofluoroolefin and/or a hydrochlorofluoroolefin circulates, the main circuit and the secondary circuit being coupled to one another; the process including a heat exchange between the surroundings and the first refrigerant, a heat exchange between the first and second refrigerants, and a heat exchange between the second refrigerant and the air to be conditioned. Also, an air conditioning plant for implementing the process.
STORAGE OF EXCESS HEAT IN COLD SIDE OF HEAT ENGINE
Extra heat in a closed cycle power generation system, such as a reversible closed Brayton cycle system, may be dissipated between discharge and charge cycles. An extra cooling heat exchanger may be added on the discharge cycle and disposed between a cold side heat exchanger and a compressor inlet. Additionally or alternatively, a cold thermal storage medium passing through the cold side heat exchanger may be allowed to heat up to a higher temperature during the discharge cycle than is needed on input to the charge cycle and the excess heat then dissipated to the atmosphere.
HEAT REQUEST ARBITRATION DEVICE, HEAT REQUEST ARBITRATION METHOD, NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM, AND VEHICLE
A heat request arbitration device includes: a first thermal circuit; a second thermal circuit; a third thermal circuit having path patterns that are selectable as a path that is heat exchangeable with each of the first thermal circuit and the second thermal circuit; and heat source units configured to absorb heat or radiate heat via a heat medium circulating in at least one of the thermal circuits; a derivation unit configured to derive requests related to heat flow control of heat absorbed or radiated by each of the heat source units; and a selection unit configured to select a path for at least one of the thermal circuits so as to satisfy at least one of the requests related to the heat flow control based on the requests related to the heat flow control derived by the derivation unit.
Water cooled dehumidification system
A dehumidification system includes a compressor, a primary evaporator, a primary condenser, a secondary evaporator, a secondary condenser, and a water pump. The secondary evaporator receives an inlet airflow and outputs a first airflow to the primary evaporator. The primary evaporator receives the first airflow and outputs a second airflow to the secondary condenser. The secondary condenser receives the second airflow and outputs a dehumidified airflow. The compressor receives a flow of refrigerant from the primary evaporator and provides the flow of refrigerant to the primary condenser. The primary condenser receives the flow of refrigerant and outputs the flow of refrigerant at a lower temperature through heat transfer with a flow of fluid. The flow of fluid is directed, by the water pump, to a heat exchanger or an external source, where heat is rejected from the flow of fluid.
Mechanical Device for Regulating Operating Sequence of Parallel Heat Pump Systems
The disclosed invention is a relay switch that is capable of controlling the sequence in which a multi-unit heat pump system where the relay device determines which of the units act as primary and which a secondary. The disclosed switch is capable of reconfiguring the sequencing with a mere flip of a switch or a toggle of an actuator. There is a protective case enclosing the actual switch. The casing carries the dual role of insulating the switch and electrical connectors, as well as providing instructions on how to integrate the disclosed device into an existing heat pump system, as well as how to operate the device after successful integration. The wiring to the switch is accomplished via a panel of clearing marked external connectors. The switch can then operate via a mechanical or electronic actuator exposed on the surface of the protective case, or remotely via a connection module.
