One exemplary aspect involves a refrigeration system that includes: a chamber adapted to hold liquid and gaseous coolant received from a cooling pot; a first adsorption pump having an inlet end in fluid communication with the chamber, the first adsorption pump configured to capture gas from the liquid and gaseous coolant when the first adsorption pump is enabled; a second adsorption pump having an inlet end in fluid communication with the chamber, the second adsorption pump configured to capture gas from the liquid and gaseous coolant when the second adsorption pump is enabled; a means for desorbing the gas captured by the first adsorption pump; and a means for desorbing the gas captured by the second adsorption pump.
REFRIGERANT SYSTEM FOR COOLING ELECTRONICS
The various implementations described herein include methods, devices, and systems for cooling a vehicular electronics system. In one aspect, a vehicular refrigerant system includes: (1) a refrigerant loop having a compressor configured to compress a refrigerant, a condenser configured to condense the compressed refrigerant, an expansion device configured to enable expansion of the condensed refrigerant, and a heat exchanger configured to transfer heat from a liquid coolant to the expanded refrigerant; (2) a liquid coolant loop configured to transfer heat from an electronics system via the liquid coolant; and (3) a controller configured to: (a) obtain operating data regarding the refrigerant, the liquid coolant, and/or the electronics system; and (b) adjust operation of the refrigerant loop and/or the liquid coolant loop based on the obtained operating data.
COOLING SYSTEM AND COOLING METHOD THEREOF
A cooling system and a cooling method thereof. The system includes a first refrigeration device, a second refrigeration device, and a cold storage device. Both of the first refrigeration device and the cold storage device are configured to provide a first medium for an end device to supply cold to the end device, and the second refrigeration device is configured to provide a first medium for the cold storage device to perform cold charging on the cold storage device. A cooling side medium input port of the second refrigeration device is configured to receive a first medium output by the end device. A chilled side medium input port of the first refrigeration device is connected to a cooling side medium output port of the second refrigeration device and is configured to receive the first medium output from the cooling side medium output port of the second refrigeration device.
Circuit for the thermal management of a hybrid or electric vehicle
A thermal management circuit for a hybrid or electric vehicle is disclosed. The thermal management circuit has a first reversible air conditioning loop in which a refrigerant circulates and includes a two-fluid heat exchanger arranged jointly on a second loop for the circulation of a heat-transfer fluid. The second loop for the circulation of a heat-transfer fluid includes a first circulation branch including in the direction in which the heat-transfer fluid circulates, a first pump, a first radiator arranged in an internal air flow, and a battery heat exchanger. A second circulation branch is connected in parallel with the second radiator and includes a second pump and an electric device for heating the heat-transfer fluid. A third circulation branch connected in parallel with the first pump and the battery heat exchanger includes the two-fluid heat exchanger.
Flow circuit system for a vehicle and method thereof
The invention relates to a flow circuit system (1) for a vehicle, with a first flow circuit (10) guiding a first fluid and operable as a heat pump, and a second flow circuit (50) with a conveying device (31) guiding a second fluid, and a switching device (35), wherein in the provided flow direction of the first fluid downstream of a compressor (3) and upstream of an expansion element (15), at least one first heat exchanger (7) between the first and second fluids, wherein the second flow circuit (50) has at least two flow circuit modes, wherein in the first flow circuit mode, apart from the at least one conveying device (31) for the second fluid and the at least one first heat exchanger (7), at least one outside heat exchanger (37) which may be flowed through by the second fluid and is configured as a radiator is connected to the second flow circuit (50), and in the second flow circuit mode this at least one outside heat exchanger (37) is not connected to the at least second flow circuit (50) containing the conveyor device (31) and the first heat exchanger (7), and preferably is also a heating flow circuit. In this way more flexibility is created in the flow circuit system (1) for a vehicle.
FREE COOLING SYSTEM FOR HVAC SYSTEM
A heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a variable speed pump configured to direct a chilled fluid through a free cooling circuit of the HVAC system. The free cooling circuit is configured to place the chilled fluid in a heat exchange relationship with ambient air. The HVAC system also includes a heat exchanger configured to place the chilled fluid in a heat exchange relationship with a conditioning fluid and a controller configured to operate the variable speed pump based on a parameter of the HVAC system.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR INCREASING ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF PUMPED REFRIGERANT COOLING SYSTEMS
An economizer module for increasing energy efficiency of a pumped refrigerant cooling system is connected to a refrigerant pumping unit including a primary pump connected with heat extractor(s) via a primary circuit and a primary heat exchanger connected with a condensing unit via a secondary circuit. The economizer module includes a control panel with control software, a secondary heat exchanger connected with the heat extractor(s) via the primary circuit and with the primary heat exchanger, a cooler connected with the secondary heat exchanger via an economizer circuit, and a secondary pump connected between the cooler and the secondary heat exchanger. The control panel executes the control software to control fluid flow in the economizer circuit via the secondary pump so as to use ambient air to reject heat from working fluid being used to collect heat from refrigerant in said primary circuit before said heat travels to said secondary circuit.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A REFRIGERANT SUB-SYSTEM FOR A HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a hot water sub-system including a first heat exchanger and a condenser, a cold water sub-system including a second heat exchanger and an evaporator, and a refrigerant sub-system for transferring heat from the cold water sub-system to the hot water sub-system. The first and second heat exchangers transfer moisture and heat between a liquid desiccant and air. The refrigerant sub-system includes a compressor, the condenser, an expansion valve, the evaporator, and a refrigerant-air heat exchanger. The condenser transfers heat from compressed refrigerant to the hot water sub-system. The evaporator transfers heat from the cold water sub-system to uncompressed refrigerant. The refrigerant-air heat exchanger transfers heat from a portion of the compressed refrigerant to air in a first operating mode, and transfers heat from the air to a portion of the uncompressed refrigerant in a second operating mode.
