An economizer includes a separation wheel, a motor, and a liquid storage portion. The separation wheel is arranged and configured to separate refrigerant into gas refrigerant and liquid refrigerant. The separation wheel is attached to a shaft rotatable about a rotation axis. The motor is arranged and configured to rotate the shaft in order to rotate the separation wheel. The liquid storage portion is arranged and configured to store the liquid refrigerant. The economizer is adapted to be used in a chiller system including a compressor, an evaporator and a condenser.

Refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus

A refrigerating and air-conditioning apparatus suppresses liquid backflow to a compressor with a simple configuration, and reduces annual power consumption. An outdoor unit and an indoor unit are connected to each other by a gas-side connecting pipe and a liquid-side connecting pipe to form a refrigerant circuit in which a compressor, a four-way valve, an indoor heat exchanger, a refrigerant heat exchanger, an expansion valve, an outdoor heat exchanger, and an accumulator are sequentially connected. The refrigerant heat exchanger transfers heat between a high-pressure-side refrigerant flowing between the expansion valve and an outdoor-unit liquid pipe connecting portion and a low-pressure-side refrigerant on an outlet side of the accumulator.

Air conditioner and method of controlling the same

An air conditioner and a method of controlling the same are provided. The air conditioner includes first and second compressors capable of performing multi-stage compression, a condenser for condensing a refrigerant compressed in the first and second compressors, a refrigerant separation device for separating the refrigerant to be injected to the first or second compressor of the refrigerant condensed in the condenser, injection tubes extending from the refrigerant separation device to the first and second compressors to guide injection of the refrigerant, a main expansion device disposed at an outlet-side of the refrigerant separation device to decompress the refrigerant, an evaporator for evaporating the refrigerant decompressed in the main expansion device, a valve device disposed at an outlet-side of the first compressor to guide the refrigerant compressed in the first compressor to the condenser or the second compressor, and a bypass tube extending from the valve device to an suction-side of the second compressor.

Low charge packaged refrigeration system

A packaged, pumped liquid, recirculating refrigeration system with charges of 10 lbs or less of refrigerant per ton of refrigeration capacity. The compressor and related components are situated in a pre-packaged modular machine room, and in which the condenser is mounted on the machine room and the evaporator is close coupled to the pre-packaged modular machine room. Prior art large receiver vessels may be replaced with a single or dual phase cyclonic separator also housed in the pre-packaged modular machine room.

AIR CONDITIONER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

An air conditioner is provided. The air conditioner includes a heat pump cycle channel in which a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion valve, and an indoor heat exchanger are connected with one another in sequence. A resistance channel is disposed between an outlet of the compressor and the outdoor heat exchanger to increase pressure of refrigerant flowing from the outlet to the outdoor heat exchanger.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed toward a falling-film evaporator that includes an evaporator cylinder, a mist eliminator disposed in the evaporator cylinder, a dispenser disposed in the evaporator cylinder, a liquid baffle disposed in the evaporator cylinder, a first chamber formed at least partially by the mist eliminator and the liquid baffle on a first side of the evaporator cylinder below the mist eliminator, a gas returning chamber formed at least partially by the mist eliminator and the liquid baffle on a second side of the evaporator cylinder above the mist eliminator, a gas-liquid separation chamber formed at least partially by the dispenser at an upper portion of the first chamber, and an evaporation chamber formed at least partially by the dispenser at a lower portion of the first chamber, and where the gas returning chamber is in fluid communication with the evaporation chamber.

Fastening arrangement

A motor vehicle may have a cylindrical component having two grooves aligned orthogonally to a cylinder axis, recessed into local areas of a lateral surface, and running parallel to each other, and a blind hole in an end of the cylindrical component. A fastening component for the cylindrical component may include a holding device having a U-shaped socket and a head portion having a through opening. The holding device may be matched to the cylindrical component in such a way that the cylindrical component is positively insertable via the two grooves into the U-shaped socket until the blind hole in the end is in alignment with the through opening in the head portion of the holding device. The fastening arrangement may also have a fastening element that is insertable and screwable through the through opening in the head portion into the blind hole in the cylindrical component.
