THERMOELECTRIC ASSEMBLY SEALING MEMBER WITH VAPOR BARRIER
A thermoelectric assembly includes a thermoelectric module having a hot side and a cold side, where a heat sink is coupled with the hot side of the thermoelectric module and a cold sink is coupled with the cold side of the thermoelectric module. A gasket is disposed between the heat sink and the cold sink and extends around a portion of the thermoelectric module. A vapor barrier is attached to and covers an outer surface of the gasket to prevent water vapor from penetrating the outer surface of the gasket.
Evaporator
Provided is an evaporator including a header in which a depressed portion is formed by concavely depressing downwards a transverse central portion in a longitudinal direction from an upper surface, the portion in which the depressed portion is formed protrudes downwards to form a pair of partitions spaced apart from each other, and a communication hole is formed in a penetrating manner in a transverse direction in each of the pair of partitions; a tank in which a transverse central portion is coupled to a lower end of the partition of the header and both sides in the transverse direction are coupled to the header; and an insert plate inserted into the depressed portion of the header such that both surfaces are tightly attached to the pair of partitions, and having a through hole provided at a position corresponding to the communication holes provided in the pair of partitions.

Passive Anti-frosting Surface Comprised of Microscopic Wettability Patterns Containing Sacrificial Ice
A method and device for reducing ice and frost on a surface comprising a wettable pattern on a surface. The pattern is wetted with water which is frozen into ice to create overlapping hygroscopic that cover the surface.
Vehicle heat management device
A vehicle heat management device that includes: a pump that circulates cooling water around a cooling water circulation path; an air blower that blows air through a radiator toward an exterior heat exchanger of an air-conditioning device of a vehicle; and a de-icing controller that, in a case in which an estimated ice adhesion amount on the exterior heat exchanger is a predetermined value or greater, starts first de-icing control by using a pump to circulate cooling water in a flow path including a second flow path, in the state in which a first flow path and the second flow path are isolated from each other by a first switching section, and using the air blower to blow air through the radiator toward the exterior heat exchanger.
COOLING SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHOD
A cooling system and a related method is presented. The cooling system includes a reservoir configured to selectively supply a cooling fluid; a circulation loop fluidly coupled to the reservoir, and configured to circulate the cooling fluid to and from the reservoir, and a heat exchanger thermally coupled to the circulation loop and configured to exchange heat with the cooling fluid. The reservoir includes a refrigerant and an anti-freeze additive. The anti-freeze additive is characterized by a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) such that when an operating temperature of the reservoir is greater than the LCST, the reservoir is configured to supply a cooling fluid including the refrigerant to the circulation loop; and when the operating temperature of the reservoir is lower than the LCST, the reservoir is configured to supply a cooling fluid including the refrigerant and the anti-freeze additive to the circulation loop.
Air-conditioning control system and information processing device
An air-conditioning control system includes an air-conditioning device mounted in a host vehicle, a determination unit mounted in the host vehicle or a server and configured to determine whether a boarding position at which a boarding event in which an occupant boards the host vehicle occurs is a point with a predetermined attribute, and a control unit mounted in the host vehicle and configured to control the air-conditioning device based on a determination result from the determination unit. The control unit sets a ventilation capacity of the air-conditioning device to be greater when the determination unit determines that the boarding position is a point with the predetermined attribute than when the determination unit does not determine that the boarding position is a point with the predetermined attribute.
Heat transport apparatus
According to one embodiment, a heat transport apparatus includes an evaporator, a cooling unit, a channel structure, and a heating mechanism. The evaporator vaporizes a refrigerant by heat generated by a heat-generating element. The cooling unit is provided above the evaporator and cools and condenses the refrigerant vaporized in the evaporator. The channel structure constitutes a channel through which the refrigerant circulates between the evaporator and the cooling unit. The heating mechanism heats the cooling unit and suppresses solidification of the refrigerant at the cooling unit.

A method and device for reducing ice and frost on a surface comprising a wettable pattern on a surface. The pattern is wetted with water which is frozen into ice to create overlapping hygroscopic that cover the surface.
Refrigerant processing device and refrigeration air conditioning system
A refrigerant processing device includes a main body, and a pipe and a narrow tube that feed a refrigerant into and out of the main body. The main body has a cylindrical body part, and upper and lower end wall parts that close both ends of the cylindrical body part. The pipe passes through the lower end wall part, and extends along a central axis of the cylindrical body part. The narrow tube passes through the upper end wall part. A first spiral groove extending in a spiral shape with respect to the central axis is formed on an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical body part. A second spiral groove extending in a spiral shape with respect to the central axis and a linear groove extending in a direction of the central axis are formed on an outer circumferential surface of the pipe.
