A diaper changing device which can assist parents or other caregivers in changing an infant or other subject's diaper may include a base. The base may be flat. At least one diaper retainer tab may be provided on the base. The at least one diaper retainer tab may be configured to engage and secure a diaper in place on the base. The base and the at least one diaper retainer tab may be used by a caregiver to maintain the diaper in an easily reachable, strategically placed position as the diaper on an infant or adult is changed, allowing a caregiver to operate a front end of the diaper and wrap the front end over the subject. The caregiver may easily and rapidly pull the base frontward from the diaper to disconnect the diaper changing device from the diaper and finalize the diapering process.

Baby diaper changing station

An exemplary baby diaper changing station (260) includes a table (264) that is configured to be in operative supported connection with a wall (262) through a pair of transversely disposed mounting brackets (266, 268). The table is in movable rotatable connection with the mounting brackets. The table is rotatably movable between a use position in which a generally planar changing surface (280) extends generally horizontal and faces upward, and a stored position in which the table extends parallel to the wall and in outwardly overlying relation of the mounting brackets. A pair of torsion springs (348) that are associated with respective joints (276, 278) operate to rotationally bias the table toward the stored position once the table has been rotationally moved by the user away from the use position.

The canopy also comprises a bottom section in which the changing pad is placed upon. The frame structure is configured to be held normally open by the spring-biased joints, and the frame structure and wall portions are manually collapsible so as to enable the canopy to be folded into a compact state suitable for storage in a diaper bag. A combination diaper bag and diaper changing canopy are also disclosed.
