Method for preventing and detecting coolant discharges from complex hydraulic systems
The invention relates to a method for preventing and detecting coolant discharges from complex hydraulic systems. The aim of the invention is to configure such a method in such a way that this method in particular meets requirements for preventing/limiting the development of explosive atmospheres in working areas and for reducing measures from previously otherwise typical requirements for Ex zones. This aim is achieved in that a circuit carrying coolant is divided into small volumes that have stop valves and a relief valve, wherein a leak detection diagnosis can be carried out by means of a pressure sensor that can be integrated.

A method of assembling a refrigeration unit includes inserting a machine compartment assembly, including a base plate and a compressor coupled to the base plate, into a machine compartment of the refrigeration unit, mounting a control box of the refrigeration unit to a side panel, and coupling the side panel to the refrigeration unit, such that the side panel conceals a lateral side of the machine compartment and the control box is laterally-inboard of the side panel.
REPROGRAMMABLE SMART ACTUATOR OR REFRIGERATED CABINET WITH WEB SERVER
An actuator includes a motor, a drive member coupled to the motor and structured to transfer movement from the motor to an external mechanism, and a control chip configured to host a web server, connect with a wireless communication network and provide access to the web server via the wireless communication network, and control the motor using reprogrammable control logic. The reprogrammable control logic is adjustable by a user via the web server and the wireless communication network.
Systems and methods for transport climate control circuit management and isolation
A method of controlling a transport climate control system includes detecting for leaking of working fluid from a climate control circuit. The method also includes isolating a high-pressure side of the climate control circuit when leaking of the working fluid is detected. A method of controlling a transport climate control circuit includes detecting for overcharge and/or an undercharge of the climate control circuit. A transport climate control system includes a climate control circuit and a climate controller that is configured to detect for working fluid leaking from the climate control circuit. The climate controller configured to isolate a high-pressure side of the climate control circuit when leaking of the working fluid is detected.

Refrigeration cycle apparatus
A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes low-pressure side pressure detecting means for detecting the pressure of a refrigerant being sucked by a compressor, suction refrigerant temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature of the refrigerant being sucked by the compressor, frequency detecting means for detecting the operation frequency of the compressor, cooling target fluid inflow temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature of a cooling target fluid flowing in an evaporator, cooling target fluid outflow temperature detecting means for detecting the temperature of the cooling target fluid flowing out of the evaporator, and flow rate calculating means (measuring unit, computing unit, and storage unit) for calculating the absolute quantity of the flow rate of the cooling target fluid flowing in the evaporator using a value detected by each detecting means.
HVAC equipment with refrigerant gas sensor
An HVAC system with a refrigerant gas sensor is provided. In one embodiment, an HVAC system includes a heat exchanger coil installed within a housing. The heat exchanger coil is operable to exchange heat with air in the housing via a refrigerant passing through the heat exchanger coil. The system also includes an HVAC sensor assembly installed within the housing. The HVAC sensor assembly includes a refrigerant gas sensor and an orientation sensor positioned to detect an orientation of the refrigerant gas sensor. The HVAC system may also or instead include a position sensor to detect the position of the refrigerant gas sensor within the system. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.
Scroll compressor differential pressure control during compressor startup transitions
A method including: determining a cooling value; and comparing the cooling value to an activation point of a lead compressor. The lead compressor is in a tandem set of scroll compressors of a cooling system. The tandem set of compressors comprises a lag compressor. The method further includes: activating the lead compressor when the cooling value is greater than the activation point; activating the lag compressor subsequent to activating the lead compressor; and determining whether conditions exist including: an alarm associated with the lag compressor being generated, and the lead compressor being deactivated. The method further includes deactivating the lag compressor when at least one of the conditions exists in the cooling system.
Air conditioning apparatus
An air-conditioning apparatus has different two modes including a response detection diagnosis in which a control unit diagnoses a trouble of a component device during the trouble diagnosis operation based on presence or absence of a response from the operational state sensor when the mode has forcibly changed the device operation, and a performance detection diagnosis in which a trouble is detected by a detection value of the operational state sensor at a time when the operational state of the trouble diagnosis operation is stable, and the performance detection diagnosis is executed after the response detection diagnosis is executed.
