SPRAY STRUCTURE FOR TEMPERATURE REGULATION
A spray structure for temperature regulation comprises a spray system and a heat exchange cycling system. The heat exchange cycling system includes a thermal chip for providing a temperature regulation water which is received in the spray system to exchange energies. After the temperature regulation water is flowed through the thermal chip to exchange energies, the temperature regulation water is atomized by the spray system to regulate an inner temperature inside a space.
AUTONOMIC COOLING SYSTEM
Autonomic cooling of a substrate is achieved using a porous thermal protective layer to provide evaporative cooling combined with capillary pumping. The porous thermal protective layer is manufactured onto the substrate. A vascular network is integrated between the substrate and the protective layer. Applied heat causes fluid contained in the protective layer to evaporate, removing heat. The fluid lost to evaporation is replaced by capillary pressure, pulling fluid from a fluid-containing reservoir through the vascular network. Cooling occurs as liquid evaporates from the protective layer.
Multiple pump evaporative media system
An evaporative media system having multiple media stages each served by a separate pump is disclosed. In one aspect, the evaporative media system has a first media stage and a second media stage. A first pump is provided that is configured to deliver water from the first compartment of the water storage tank to the first media stage. Additionally, a second pump is provided that is configured to deliver water from the first compartment of the water storage tank to the second media stage. Additional media stages and pumps may be provided as well. The disclosed configuration eliminates the need for individual staging valves, provides a higher level of operational redundancy, reduces electrical consumption, and can be provided at a lower cost, as compared to many existing systems.

ACTUATING SELF-COOLING CAN
A self-cooling container for cooling a liquid includes a first portion with a first frangible seal that extends across and seals an evaporator unit containing a refrigerant and a second portion with a second frangible seal that extends across and seals a desiccant chamber containing a desiccant. The first portion rotates axially relative to the second portion. An actuator assembly is between the first portion and the second portion and includes: a cutter assembly, which is coupled to the first portion of the self-cooling container and includes a cutter coupled to a rotatable axle and a pinion gear coupled to the rotatable axle, and a drive gear assembly coupled to the second portion of the self-cooling container and including a ring gear supported by a housing. The pinion gear on the cutter assembly is mated to the ring gear of the drive gear assembly.
Portable cooling unit and a portable storage unit
A portable cooling unit for cooling and insulating a vessel. The unit has a thermally insulating envelope that includes a breathable reflective layer, a breathable waterproof layer and an opening for accessing the vessel. A cooling envelope that is arranged to cool and house the thermally insulating envelope and the vessel. The cooling envelope has two water-permeable layers and an opening for accessing the vessel. The unit further has a housing envelope that is arranged to house the vessel, the cooling envelope and the thermally insulating envelope. The housing envelope includes an opening for accessing the vessel and a breathable water-permeable layer that allows moisture to cross the envelope. The two water-permeable layers of the cooling layer are arranged to bound an enclosure containing an absorbent and moisture-wicking material that is arranged to cool the vessel via evaporation of water.
