Inside air control apparatus and container refrigeration apparatus including the same
An inside air control apparatus includes: a gas supply device that performs a gas supply operation for supplying low oxygen concentration air into a container; and a controller that controls an operation of the gas supply device so that the inside air has desired composition. The controller is configured to be able to execute, if an oxygen concentration of the inside air is higher than a target oxygen concentration, a carbon dioxide concentration controlling operation for controlling composition of the inside air to be desired composition by causing the gas supply device to perform the gas supply operation, while allowing the gas supply device to change the amount of gas supply such that the carbon dioxide concentration of the inside air falls within a predetermined reference concentration range.
Transformable Cargo Containers
In an example, a transformable cargo container for use with ground and air transportation vehicles is disclosed. The cargo container includes a main container body defining a storage chamber. The cargo container also includes a transformable assembly coupled to the main container body and positioned at an exterior of the main container body. The transformable assembly includes one or more supplemental containers and is movable between an aircraft configuration and a ground configuration. Based on the transformable assembly being in the aircraft configuration, the transformable cargo container has a non-rectangular cross-sectional area and is configured to occupy a partially-circular cross-sectional storage area of a fuselage of an aircraft. And based on the transformable assembly being in the ground configuration, the transformable cargo container is configured to occupy a rectangular cross-sectional storage area on a ground transportation vehicle.
REFRIGERATION APPLIANCE AND EVAPORATOR THEREFOR
An evaporator for a refrigeration appliance has a refrigerant line, which extends from an injection point to an outlet of the evaporator. A number of heat exchanger plates are in thermal contact with the refrigerant line and with the surroundings of the evaporator. The refrigerant line has, in an upstream region of the evaporator, at least one constriction, which is spaced apart from the injection point.
Expansion Valve Position Detection in Refrigeration System
A refrigerated display case having a housing defining a temperature controlled space and a refrigeration system coupled to the housing is provided. The refrigeration system is configured to be operable to affect a temperature of the temperature controlled space. The refrigeration system includes an actuator, a controller, and a sensor. The controller is configured to continuously update a stored position of the actuator based on measurement of an electric current provided to the actuator, retrieve the stored position after a power failure, and restart control based on the stored position of the actuator. The sensor is configured to communicate with the controller.
PORTABLE REFRIGERATOR AND MAIN REFRIGERATOR HAVING THE SAME
A portable refrigerator is configured to be accommodated in a first cooling space of a main refrigerator and defines a second cooling space independent of the first cooling space. The portable refrigerator includes a case that defines an opening, a drawer configured to be inserted into and drawn out from the case through the opening of the case and configured to, based on being inserted into the case, cover the opening and the second cooling space, a temperature control part configured to control a temperature of the second cooling space, a power supply configured to be selectively connected to external power or indirect power, where the indirect power is supplied through the main refrigerator.
CONTROL SCHEME FOR BEVERAGE COOLERS OPTIMIZED FOR BEVERAGE QUALITY AND FAST PULLDOWN TIME
Systems and methods for an actively cooled container comprising: a power subsystem; an active cooling subsystem; and a control subsystem are provided. In some embodiments, the control subsystem is configured to: determine that additional cooling is needed; cause the active cooling subsystem to cool the actively cooled container below a lower limit; determine to end the additional cooling; and cause the active cooling subsystem to cool the actively cooled container at or above the lower limit. In this way, the best balance between a fast cooldown time and not damaging (e.g., through freezing) the product load (e.g., beverages), is achieved.
Method of making a folded insulated structure
A vacuum insulated cabinet structure includes panels having sheet metal outer side walls and polymer inner side walls. The polymer inner side walls are heat-sealed to a layer of polymer material laminated to a flat sheet metal blank to form vacuum cavities. The blank is then bent along fold lines to form a cabinet structure.

Method of manufacturing an enclosure for a transport refrigeration unit, transport refrigeration unit and transport unit
A method of manufacturing a transport refrigeration unit is provided. The method includes providing an enclosure including an outer layer and a supporter. Providing the enclosure includes supplying one of a first material and a second material to a mold. This also includes supplying the other of the first material and the second material on the one of the first material and the second material that is supplied to the mold. Also, this includes curing the first material and the second material integrally that are supplied to the mold. The first material forms into the outer layer and the second material forms into the supporter. The second material includes a plurality of reinforcing fibers.
REFRIGERATOR AND HOME APPLIANCE
A appliance includes: a cabinet defining define a storage space, and a door configured to open and close the storage space. The door comprises a door body, a door panel defining a front surface of the door, a cap decoration defining a lower surface of the door body, and a bracket provided at a rear surface of the door panel and configured to be coupled to the cap decoration. The bracket comprises a buffer rib protruding from a first surface of the bracket and configured to, based on the bracket being coupled to the cap decoration, define a space between the bracket and the cap decoration.
