REFRIGERATOR HAVING INTERIOR LIGHTING USED FOR SYNCHRONIZED USER FEEDBACK OF ZONE SELECTION
A refrigerator is provided having at least one internal refrigerated compartment in which a plurality of refrigeration zones are provided, wherein an environment in each refrigeration zone may be independently controlled using a user interface configured to receive a zone selection input from a user indicating one of the plurality of refrigeration zones in which the user desires to adjust the environment; a plurality of lights provided in the internal refrigerated compartment and disposed proximate to each of the plurality of refrigeration zones, wherein groups of the plurality of lights may be separately controlled for visually identifying each of the refrigeration zones; and a controller configured to receive a zone selection input from the user interface, identify a group of the plurality of lights that are disposed proximate the selected refrigeration zone, and control the identified group of the plurality of lights to visually confirm the selected refrigeration zone.

A refrigerator is provided having at least one internal refrigerated compartment in which a plurality of refrigeration zones are provided, wherein an environment in each refrigeration zone may be independently controlled using a user interface configured to receive a zone selection input from a user indicating one of the plurality of refrigeration zones in which the user desires to adjust the environment; a plurality of lights provided in the internal refrigerated compartment and disposed proximate to each of the plurality of refrigeration zones, wherein groups of the plurality of lights may be separately controlled for visually identifying each of the refrigeration zones; and a controller configured to receive a zone selection input from the user interface, identify a group of the plurality of lights that are disposed proximate the selected refrigeration zone, and control the identified group of the plurality of lights to visually confirm the selected refrigeration zone.

Refrigerator and method of manufacturing metal photocatalyst filter of the refrigerator
A refrigerator includes a main body having a storage room formed therein, a door that opens and closes the storage room, a filter module, and a cool air circulation fan that circulates cool air through the filter module. The filter module includes a metal photocatalyst filter and a UV LED module for radiating UV rays to the metal photocatalyst filter. The metal photocatalyst filter has photocatalysts made of one of ZnTiO.sub.2, CuTiO.sub.2, AgTiO.sub.2 or FeTiO.sub.2 coated on a filter base. The filter module may allow the entire storage room to be uniformly subject to antibiosis and sterilization at a relatively low cost.

A refrigerator includes a main body having a storage room formed therein, a door that opens and closes the storage room, a filter module, and a cool air circulation fan that circulates cool air through the filter module. The filter module includes a metal photocatalyst filter and a UV LED module for radiating UV rays to the metal photocatalyst filter. The metal photocatalyst filter has photocatalysts made of one of ZnTiO.sub.2, CuTiO.sub.2, AgTiO.sub.2 or FeTiO.sub.2 coated on a filter base. The filter module may allow the entire storage room to be uniformly subject to antibiosis and sterilization at a relatively low cost.

A door for a refrigeration unit having a transparent panel assembly having an outer transparent panel and an inner transparent panel. The outer transparent panel has an outer side, an inner side, and top, bottom, left, and right edges and the inner transparent panel has an outer side, an inner side and top, bottom, left, and right edges. A decorative design is applied to the inner side of the outer transparent panel. A population of light sources are positioned on the top, bottom, left and/or right edges of the outer transparent panel and are capable of emitting light into the outer transparent panel, such that the decorative design is capable of being illuminated by the population of light sources.

Cooling Unit
A cooling unit has an internal chamber having a linear lighting source (an in-line lighting source) that has a row of light sources. The row of light sources are has at least one visible light section and at least one ultraviolet light section. The visible light sections and the ultraviolet light sections are all aligned in a single line and the visible light section and the ultraviolet light section are alternatingly placed in the line so a visible light section is adjacent to a ultraviolet light section. The visible light section has one or more visible light emitting LEDs and the ultraviolet light section has one or more ultraviolet light emitting LEDs. Each of the visible light emitting LEDs and the ultraviolet light emitting LEDs are all aligned in the line, as well as the visible light sections and the ultraviolet light sections.
Cooling Unit
A cooling unit has an internal chamber having a linear lighting source (an in-line lighting source) that has a row of light sources. The row of light sources are has at least one visible light section and at least one ultraviolet light section. The visible light sections and the ultraviolet light sections are all aligned in a single line and the visible light section and the ultraviolet light section are alternatingly placed in the line so a visible light section is adjacent to a ultraviolet light section. The visible light section has one or more visible light emitting LEDs and the ultraviolet light section has one or more ultraviolet light emitting LEDs. Each of the visible light emitting LEDs and the ultraviolet light emitting LEDs are all aligned in the line, as well as the visible light sections and the ultraviolet light sections.
