A temperature-controlled vending machine able to apply a required temperature uniformly within itself includes a cabinet and a temperature control system fixed at the bottom of the cabinet. The temperature control system includes a water tank, a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator defining an air outlet, and a cross-flow fan. The cross-flow fan includes a plurality of fan blades opposite to the air outlet and a housing defining an air guiding exit. The cross-flow fan is able to circulate cool air expelled from the evaporator from the bottom of the cabinet to the top of the cabinet.

RAPID COOLING SYSTEMS FOR BEVERAGES

A cooling system for rapidly cooling a beverage comprises a cooling channel configured to convey a beverage from upstream to downstream and a nozzle. The cooling channel includes an inner peripheral surface and the nozzle sprays the beverage on the inner peripheral surface such that the beverage is conveyed by gravity along the inner peripheral surface. The beverage cools as the beverage is conveyed by gravity along the inner peripheral surface such that the beverage is cooled by condensation and convection. The nozzle is further configured to reduce the pressure of the beverage such that the beverage cools due to expansion and reduction of pressure. The cooling system can also include a cooling media circulation system, a cooling media refrigeration system, and a post-chill coil.

REFRIGERATOR
20170292737 · 2017-10-12 ·

The present invention provides a refrigerator capable of supplying hot and cold drinking water to a user. The refrigerator includes a cold water tank and a hot water tank and a Peltier effect thermoelectric element disposed between the tanks. When a unidirectional current is supplied to the thermoelectric element, its heat absorption portion can absorb heat from the cold water tank and cool down the water stored therein; and its heat generation portion can release to the hot water tank and heat up the water stored therein. The cold water tank can further be cooled by the cold air in the refrigerator; while the hot water tank can further be heated by the heat in the machine room.

IN-WALL CHILLER FOR POTABLE WATER DISPENSERS
20170292782 · 2017-10-12 ·

The in-wall chiller may include a housing having a size and shape, including a depth of approximately 3.5 inches and a width of approximately 14.5 inches, conductive for installation in a standard size wall frame. The in-wall chiller may further include one or more cooling modules disposed in the housing, which may include a chilling plate coupled to one side of a Peltier chip and a heat sink coupled to the other side, wherein the relatively low temperature transferred to the chilling plate cools water within the in-wall chiller, which may be stored for an extended duration within an insulated storage tank; the heat extracted from the cooled water being transferred to the heat sink and dissipated out from the in-wall chiller by a fan mounted thereon.

System to cool beverages using a refrigeration system having a defrosting feature
09823002 · 2017-11-21 ·

The present disclosure discloses a liquid cooler having separable and portable components. The liquid cooler has a liquid cooling section and a refrigerating system section. In an operative liquid cooling configuration, the components present in the liquid cooling section and the refrigerating system section are connected with each other with a first and second releasing coupler. In an operative defrosting configuration, the components of present in the liquid cooling section and the refrigerating system section are separated with each other by releasing the first and second releasing coupler and hence are easily portable. The separated liquid cooling section and the refrigerating system section enables easy periodic maintenance or replacement of faulty components in less time, labor and cost. Further, the liquid cooler is powered by power received from power mains or by power storage device such as battery.

Air conditioner and method of controlling the same

An air conditioner includes an indoor unit, an outdoor unit including an outdoor fan, a sensor unit mounted at an upper portion of the outdoor unit to sense snow piled up on the outdoor unit, and a control unit to determine whether snow is piled up or not based on an output from the sensor unit and control an operation of the outdoor fan to remove snow when snow is piled up based on the determination. The sensor unit includes a photo sensor and a temperature sensor.

COOLING SYSTEM FOR CONTAINER IN A VEHICLE
20170328612 · 2017-11-16 ·

A cooling system comprises a container that is conductively coupled or convectively coupled to a thermoelectric device to selectively cool and/or heat the container. A climate controlled container system for a vehicle includes a container or cavity and a conduction element configured to cool the cavity. In some embodiments, the cooling system comprises a housing, a housing inlet, a fluid passage and one or more thermoelectric devices and fluid transfer devices positioned within the housing.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DEVICE WITH EUTECTIC PLATE
20170284731 · 2017-10-05 ·

A system and/or method is provided that manages delivery of power for a device and an additional device. The system can include a device that consumes power to refrigerate an item stored therein, wherein the device includes an eutectic plate and an additional device that consumes power. The system can further include a power source that is configured to deliver power and a power manager component that is configured to monitor a temperature within the device. The power manager component can further be configured to activate the power source to deliver power to the device to reach a set temperature, switch the delivery of power from the device to the additional device based on the set temperature being reached, and maintain the set temperature in the device by switching delivery of power from the additional device to the device based on monitoring the temperature.

Medical transport bag
20170246084 · 2017-08-31 ·

Several travel bags, carriers and coolers are available in the market. However, these carriers are suitable for transporting drugs under one condition and don't serve many of the patients (and in particular the elderly) who have prescribed drugs that need to be stored at different temperatures in one unit. These carriers are, also, costly and aren't tailored to solve the problems that encounter many researchers in the labs and many patients. Accordingly, they were not effective in solving the problems of the waste of the drugs due to their improper storage or in preventing the adverse effects that can result from the damage of the drugs.

In contrast, the Medical Transport Bag is an economic transport system that can be used for transporting many samples and medicines in a cost-effective manner and under different controlled conditions in the same unit.
