Sensor assembly for vacuum insulated structure
A door assembly includes a structural wrapper defining an insulating cavity. The structural wrapper defines a sensor port. A sensor assembly is coupled to an outer surface of the structural wrapper proximate to the sensor port. The sensor assembly includes a connector having a base coupled to a housing. The base is coupled to the structural wrapper. The connector defines an interior in fluid communication with the insulating cavity. A pressure sensor is disposed within the housing. The pressure sensor is configured to sense a pressure within the insulating cavity. At least one plate is disposed at an open end of the housing. The pressure sensor includes sensor pins that extend through the at least one plate.
PRODUCE RIPENING DETECTION IN A REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE
A refrigerator appliance and a method of operating a refrigerator appliance to detect produce ripening. The refrigerator includes a camera assembly in a chilled chamber to obtain an image of a produce item and analyze the image for a ripeness value. Comparing the ripeness value of produce item to a predetermined value may be used to determine if the produce item has reached an optimal ripeness condition.
Gesture operated refrigerated display case
A display case includes multiple walls that define an inner volume, a door, a door actuator, a gesture sensor, and a controller. The door is transitionable between an open position for access to the inner volume and a closed position. The door actuator is configured to transition the door between the open position and the closed position. The gesture sensor is configured to detect a gesture performed by a user. The controller includes a processing circuit configured to obtain sensor data from the gesture sensor that indicates the gesture performed by the user. The processing circuit is further configured to determine if the user has performed a reference gesture using the sensor data. The processing circuit is further configured to operate the door actuator to transition the door between the open position and the closed position in response to determining that the user has performed the reference gesture.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes: a main body comprising a storage room; a door rotatably coupled to the main body and configured to open or close the storage room; and a water supply device on a rear surface of the door. The water supply device includes: a water supply case comprising a bucket installation space; a water level sensor configured to detect a water level of a water bucket in the bucket installation space; a first water supply port configured to supply water to the water bucket based on the water level of the water bucket that is detected by the water level sensor; a lever in the water supply case and configured to be manually operable; and a second water supply port configured to supply water based on operation of the lever by a user.
REFRIGERATOR AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A refrigerator includes a cabinet forming a storage space, a main door that opens and closes the storage space while defining an opening part that is in communication with the storage space, a sub-door mounted to the main door and configured to open and close the opening part, the sub-door including a panel assembly for allowing selective viewing of an inside of the opening part, a detection device for detecting an operation of a user, a lighting unit inside the refrigerator that turns on based on user operation to allow selective viewing of the inner side of the opening part, and a display unit inside the refrigerator at a position corresponding to the panel assembly that becomes visible and displays an operation state of the refrigerator when the lighting unit turns on.
Refrigerator and method for controlling the same
Provided are a refrigerator and a method for controlling the same. The refrigerator includes a cabinet defining a storage compartment, a door selectively opening or closing the storage compartment, a heater disposed in the cabinet or door to prevent dew from being formed on a surface of the cabinet or door, a refrigerator temperature sensor detecting a temperature of the storage compartment of the refrigerator, and a control unit adjusting an operation factor or output of the heater on the basis of a temperature value detected by the refrigerator temperature sensor.
HOUSEHOLD COOLING APPLIANCE COMPRISING A WEIGHT DETECTION UNIT FOR DETERMINING THE WEIGHT OF A CONTAINER OF AN ICE MAKER UNIT
A household cooling appliance includes an ice maker unit for making ice, wherein the ice maker unit has a container, in which the ice is stored, a weight detection unit for determining the weight of the container, and an evaluation unit, which is configured for determining a filling level of the container with ice depending on the weight.
PRESSURE SENSOR HUB
A pressure sensor hub for a vacuum-insulated structure includes: (a) a pressure sensor, the pressure sensor including a sensing element and an electrical connector extending from the sensing element; (b) a printed circuit board including conductive pads that are exposed, each of the conductive pads in electrical communication with a different portion of the electrical connector of the pressure sensor; and (c) a body that supports the pressure sensor and the printed circuit board.
Refrigerator and method of controlling the same
Disclosed herein are a refrigerator and method of controlling the same. A refrigerator includes an interface unit configured to receive a command for supplying at least one of water and ice from a user; a weight sensor configured to measure a weight of a container placed on a container supporter; and a controller configured to control a supply of the at least one of water and ice based on a change in weight of the container based on the measured weight of the container.
Gas sensor module, refrigerator having the same and control method for the refrigerator
A gas sensor module, a refrigerator having the same and a control method for the refrigerator. In another aspect, in a gas sensor module, ion pairs are pre-dissolved in an aqueous solution while the amount thereof and pH of an initial aqueous solution may be adjusted to adjust a sensing range and sensitivity with respect to a target gas to be sensed. In another aspect, the gas sensor module senses the amount of target gas includes an aqueous solution in which ion pairs of a substance having the same dissociation constant as the target gas are dissolved, and senses a pH change of the aqueous solution that occurs due to the target gas being dissolved in the aqueous solution.
