Portable clothes-drying assemblies are provided to allow travelers to quickly and easily dry articles of clothing. In one preferred embodiment of the invention, an assembly includes a specially configured garment bag from which a conventional hand held hair dryer is suspended. An adapter tube for directing hot air from the hair dryer into the interior of the garment bag is also provided. The adapter tube has a proximal end configured to sealingly engage the nozzle of the hair dryer and a distal end configured to sealingly engage an inlet formed at the bottom of the garment bag. In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the hair dryer is suspended from a horizontal rod, such as a closet rod, from which an article of clothing is also hung. An adapter assembly is also provided. The adapter assembly includes an adapter tube and a plurality of flexible distribution tubes that extend through the adapter tube and are configured to be inserted into the article of clothing. Each of the tubes has an proximal end configured to receive hot air from the hair dryer nozzle, a closed distal end, and an elongated intermediate portion made from either a porous material such as cloth or an apertured non-porous material that allows hot air to pass into the article of clothing.

Apparatus for drying and concentration using waste vapor

Disclosed is an apparatus for drying and concentrating, using waste vapor, which includes: a vapor supplying unit that produces and supplies vapor, using a boiler; a vapor storing unit that temporarily stores the vapor from the vapor supplying unit; a drying/concentrating unit that receives the vapor from the vapor storing unit and dries/concentrates a high-moisture material, in an indirect heat transfer type; a waste vapor collecting unit that collects waste vapor produced from the high-moisture material in the drying/concentrating unit; a vapor compressing unit that compresses the waste vapor collected by the waste vapor collecting unit; a condensate water discharging unit that separates condensate water, which is discharged after used as heat source in the drying/concentrating unit, and stink gases and discharges them; and a stink gas supplying line through which the stink gases separated by the condensate water discharging unit is supplied to the boiler.

Process for drying polymeric materials

The invention relates to a process for drying a moist polymeric material to obtain a dried polymeric material, comprising the steps of: mixing the moist polymeric material with an aqueous solution of a carbohydrate to afford a mixture of the moist polymeric material with the carbohydrate; and heating and/or filtering the mixture of the moist polymeric material with the carbohydrate to remove an amount of volatiles to obtain a predried polymeric material having a volatiles content VC.sub.pre-dried (pre-drying step); fluidizing the pre-dried material in a fluidized bed in order to further remove an amount of volatiles to obtain the dried polymeric material having a volatiles content VC.sub.dried (fluidized bed drying step); and withdrawing and collecting the dried polymeric material from the fluidized bed; wherein VC.sub.pre-dried is higher than VC.sub.dried and the moist polymeric material comprises at least a polymeric material, said polymeric material comprises fluorine permanently bonded to said polymeric material. The invention further relates to a dried polymeric material obtainable by the process of the invention. Furthermore, the invention relates to various uses of the process of the invention as well as to various uses of the dried polymeric materials.
