In-feed hopper and meter for carbon-based feedstock processing system
A meter for controlling the flow of feedstock from an in-feed hopper to a distillation unit, including a cylindrical roller having a first end, a second end, and an outer diameter, the roller defining a recess that extends helically substantially from the first end to the second end, a sleeve circumscribing a portion of the outer diameter of the cylindrical roller, the sleeve having an open first side that allows the passage of feedstock into the recess of the roller, and an open second side that allows the passage of feedstock out of the recess of the roller as the roller rotates relative to the sleeve, and a housing fixedly attached to the sleeve and capable of attachment to the in-feed hopper and the distillation unit such that feedstock most pass through the housing to get from the in-feed hopper to the distillation unit.
Distillation unit for carbon-based feedstock processing system
An apparatus for distillation of feedstock. Including a distillation chamber with an inlet for receiving feedstock and an outlet for discharging feedstock, and a plate for supporting the feedstock in the distillation chamber. The plate is positioned parallel to a substantially horizontal plane across a portion of the distillation chamber, and defines a plurality of transverse apertures extending transversely across a substantial portion of the width of the plate. A plurality of heating rods is included for insertion into the apertures of the plate to heat the plate. The apparatus also includes a conveyor enclosed within the distillation chamber and extending longitudinally across the distillation chamber, the conveyor having a plurality of paddles attached thereto that, when driven by the conveyor, move proximate and parallel to the plate to agitate feedstock on the plate, and to drive the feedstock from the inlet to the outlet of the distillation chamber.
Supercritical drying method for silica wet gel blanket
Provided is a supercritical drying method of a silica wet gel blanket and a method for producing a silica aerogel blanket including the same, the supercritical drying method preventing a salt from being accumulated inside equipment during supercritical drying. By preventing a salt from being accumulated inside equipment during supercritical drying, it is possible to improve the operational stability of the supercritical drying process. In addition, since only a line filter needs to be separated and is easily washed, the time required for washing and the total amount of ammonia wastewater generated therefrom can be reduced, thereby improving efficiency and reducing costs.
Systems and methods for changing the chemistry in heaps, piles, dumps and components
A method for storing hazardous materials within a pile by installing a drill casing a perforated casing section into a well installed in the pile, inserting a pipe or hose having an opening into the drill casing, aligning the opening of the pipe or hose with at least one perforated casing section, sealing the drill casing to isolate air or fluid flowing into or out of the drill casing so that the air or fluid only flows into or out of the drill casing through the at least one perforated casing section, pulling or pushing air or fluid through the pipe or hose at a pressure sufficient to open void spaces within the pile, and injecting hazardous materials through the pipe or hose at pressure sufficient to cause the hazardous materials to fill the void spaces.

Method for drying laundry in a laundry treating appliance
A method of drying laundry in a laundry treating appliance having a treating chamber in which the laundry is received for drying comprises moving the treating chamber to redistribute the laundry, supplying air to the treating chamber to define a supply air flow, exhausting the supplied air from the treating chamber to define an exhaust air flow, heating the air supplied to the treating chamber by actuating a heater at full output to define a first heating phase and then cycling the heater ON/OFF to define a second heating phase.
Device adapted to maintain form and assist in drying of a glove
An insert maintains the form of a glove while facilitating drying. The insert has palm, finger, and thumb portions. The palm portion is a planar or curved flange, having first and second sides. The finger portion includes an index finger flange, a middle finger flange, a ring finger flange, and a pinky finger flange, each extending from the palm portion. A first peripheral flange and a second peripheral flange are each configured to respectively extend away from, and be in continuous proximity to, a periphery formed by the first side and the second side of the palm portion and the finger flanges. First and second transverse flanges are formed for each of the finger flanges, each configured to extend away from first and second sides thereof, and be substantially centered on the finger flange, to provide eight radiused points of a contact/support being substantially equally spaced, for each glove finger.
Process and system for drying and heat treating materials
This invention discloses systems and methods for conversion of high moisture waste materials to dry or low moisture products for recycle or reuse. The equipment systems comprise a gas turbine generator unit (preferred heat source), a dryer vessel and a processing unit, wherein the connection between the gas turbine and the dryer vessel directs substantially all the gas turbine exhaust into the dryer vessel and substantially precludes the introduction of air into the dryer vessel and wherein the processing unit forms the dried material from the dryer vessel into granules, pellets or other desired form for the final product. Optionally, the systems and methods further provide for processing ventilation air from manufacturing facilities to reduce emissions therefrom.
PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURE OF FERTILIZER PRODUCTS FROM MANURE AND SEWAGE
This invention discloses systems and methods for conversion of manure to novel fertilizer and/or soil builder products useful as input for organic farming operations. The equipment systems comprise a gas turbine generator unit (preferred heat source), a dryer vessel and a processing unit, wherein the connection between the gas turbine and the dryer vessel directs substantially all the gas turbine exhaust into the dryer vessel and substantially precludes the introduction of air into the dryer vessel. The dryer vessel receives the manure for contact with the turbine exhaust gases to convert the manure to a dry material, which is passed to the processing unit where it is formed into granules, pellets or other desired form for the final dry fertilizer product. The method comprises drying, heating and converting the manure to form novel self binding fertilizer and soil builder type products for organic farming and other uses.
Grain and Crop Drying Method, System, and Apparatus
A grain dying system for a grain bin that includes a heating unit arranged in a proximity of the grain bin and ducting connected at one end to the heating unit and another end to a grain drying adaptor. The grain drying adaptor is connected at one end to the ducting and at another end to a fain unit of an aeration system for the grain bin. The fan unit is attached to the grain drying adaptor. The grain drying adaptor is configured to introduce a blend of heated air from the heating unit and ambient air from outside the grain drying adaptor into the aeration system of the grain bin.
