Method of coating metallic surface with coating having improved sag resistance
A method for applying a water-based coating and/or coating system to a metallic substrate to form sag resistant coatings is described. The method is particularly effective for protecting metal-containing substrates, such as intermodal cargo containers, against corrosion. The water-based coating includes an aqueous carrier, a resin component in admixture with the aqueous carrier and a high level of one or more CAS agents for excellent sag resistance.
Hand dryer
The invention relates to a wall-mountable hand dryer of the type which uses an air-knife to wipe the water from a user's hand. In accordance with the invention, the hand dryer is configured to have a maximum depth, front-to-back, of less than 150 mm when it is surface-mounted onnot recessed withinthe wall. The air-knife is discharged downwardly through one or more discharge apertures on the dryer. These discharge apertures are configured so that the air-knife is discharged in front of the wall or a rear part of the dryer, and is discharged forwards towards the user at a downward angle. The downward angle of the air-knife is such that the air-knife projects to a distance of at least 75 mm in front of the wall or, as the case may be, in front of the rear part of the dryer.
DRYING APPARATUS FOR PET
The present invention relates to a drying apparatus for a pet, which allows a bathed pet to be stably accommodated in an accommodation space part while drying the hair of the pet, thereby quickly and stably drying the hair of the pet. In order to dry the wet hair of a bathed pet, such as a dog or a cat, by evaporating water, the pet is accommodated in an accommodation space part through a door installed in a container portion of a main body; hot air is sucked through a suction pipe which is installed in an upper frame provided in an upper part of the container portion of the main body to generate appropriate heat, and then a vortex of hot air is generated in the accommodation space part through an air intake vortex generation induction pipe communicated with the accommodation space part, thereby quickly and stably drying the hair of the pet accommodated in the accommodation space part with the vortex having appropriate heat; the vortex is discharged to the outside through a discharge pipe; and the water generated in the dried pet is discharged to the outside through a drain hole of a lower supporting frame.
STEAM DRIVEN DISH WARMER
A dish dryer/warmer which is powered by steam that is exhausted from a steam kettle. A hollow inserts fits into a spout on the kettle and a hose connects the spout to the dish dryer. The steam is then funneled into the dish dryer. A set of holders inside the dish dryer are mechanically activated based on what, so that if a dish is placed into a holder then steam will be discharged directly into that holder, thereby warming the respective dish. A plurality of such holders can be present inside the dish dryer and each one is selectively activated to discharge steam when an object is placed inside a respective holder. All of the holders in the dish dryer share the same steam source (the kettle or other source).
DRYING SYSTEM
A drying system includes a nozzle attached to an air supply duct of a drying chamber that blows out heated air inside the duct toward an object to be dried inside the chamber. The nozzle includes a horn-shaped inner-side surface made of pairs of first and second inner-side surfaces that respectively face each other in first and second directions, an opening width of the second surfaces in the second direction gradually increasing forward in a direction in which the air is blown and being 2 to 25 times inclusive larger than an opening width in the first direction. The drying system includes: the duct with the nozzles; a feeding device feeding air to the duct; and a heating device heats the fed air. The feeding device feeds air to the duct such that the air blown out from the nozzle spreads more in the first direction than in the second.
Heating system for warming a gaseous treatment medium for a dryer
The invention relates to a heating system (38) for warming a gaseous treatment medium (30, 40) for a device for treating a preferably strip-shaped article (12) by means of a gaseous treatment medium (40), comprising a heating device, a mixing chamber (54) for mixing at least one first, gaseous heating medium (49) heated by means of the gas burner, and the gaseous treatment medium (30) already used for treatment and recycled by the device. Said gaseous heating medium (49) can be introduced into the mixing chamber (54) such that when the gaseous medium (49) is introduced into the mixing chamber (54), vortexes are produced in the mixing chamber (54), which generate an intensive thorough-mixing of the gaseous heating medium (49) with the recycled gaseous treatment medium (30).
SPRAY NOZZLE FOR SPRAYING AN ARTICLE TO BE DRIED, SPRAY DRYER, AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND/OR CONTROLLING AND/OR REGULATING A TEMPERATURE DURING THE SPRAYING PROCESS
A spray nozzle is used for spraying a product to be dried, wherein the spray nozzle has a groove on an outer wall, and a measurement sensor for measuring a measured value is disposed in the groove, wherein an autarkic energy supply is associated with the measurement sensor. The autarkic energy supply, in particular by means of a piezo-element, is disposed in the groove, so that the measurement sensor can be operated without an external cable-based energy supply. In addition, a spray dryer is used for drying a product to be dried and to a method for monitoring and/or controlling and/or regulating a temperature when drying a product to be dried.
Device for controlling the temperature of objects
The invention relates to a device for controlling the temperature of objects, in particular for drying coated vehicle bodies or body parts, the device having a housing and a temperature controlling tunnel accommodated into the housing. A temperature controlling device for controlling the temperature of the objects using a temperature-controlled gaseous fluid comprises fluid nozzles, through each of which a jet of fluid can be dispensed onto the objects. A tunnel atmosphere can be suctioned through at least one suction opening using a suction system, whereby a base current is generated in the direction of the at least one suction opening in the temperature controlling tunnel. A convection device is provided, by means of which a convection current can be generated in addition to the base current, said convection current supporting the base current.
Method for preparing spent nuclear fuel for dry storage
A system and method for drying cavities containing spent nuclear fuel is devised. The invention utilizes a non-intrusive procedure that is based on monitoring the dew point temperature of a non-reactive gas that is circulated through the cavity. In one aspect, the invention is a system for drying a cavity loaded with spent nuclear fuel comprising: a canister forming the cavity, the cavity having an inlet and an outlet; a source of non-reactive gas; means for flowing the non-reactive gas from the source of non-reactive gas through the cavity; and means for repetitively measuring the dew point temperature of the non-reactive gas exiting the cavity.
TREATMENT PLANT AND METHOD FOR TREATING WORKPIECES
A treatment plant and method for treating workpieces, in particular for coating and/or drying vehicle bodies, having a treatment device with a housing in which a treatment space is accommodated. A conveyor system having a multitude of transport trolleys for conveying workpieces through the treatment space, wherein each transport trolley has a chassis and a fastening device for at least one workpiece, which are coupled together by means of a connecting device. Outside the treatment space, there is a guiding area with a travel space for the chassis. The travel space is connected to the treatment space via a connecting passage such that the chassis of a transport trolley can move in the travel space and at the same time the fastening device is entrained in the treatment space and the connecting device extends through the connecting passage. The travel space is defined by a travel space housing and a gas device is present to feed a throughflow gas, in particular air, to the travel space. At least a major part of the throughflow gas can again be discharged from the travel space as exhaust gas, without this throughflow gas reaching the treatment space through the connecting passage.
