A drying device that includes a series of hollow tube sections connected sequentially end-to-end to form a helical-shaped manifold. Each hollow tube section includes a plurality of apertures used for producing air jets. The apertures fluidly connect internal passages in the hollow tube sections to an external region surrounding the manifold. The apertures are oriented to direct the air jets toward a center region of the manifold. Each hollow tube section is oriented at an oblique angel relative to a respective reference plane to produce the helical-shaped manifold.

Hand held appliance

A hand held appliance, such as a hairdryer, includes a body, a duct, a fluid flow path extending through the duct from a first fluid inlet of the appliance to a first fluid outlet of the appliance. A primary fluid flow path extends from a second fluid inlet through which a primary fluid flow enters the appliance to a second fluid outlet. A fan unit is located in the primary fluid flow path for drawing fluid through the second fluid inlet. A filter is located in the primary fluid flow path. Fluid is drawn through the fluid flow path by fluid emitted from the second fluid outlet. A heater is provided in the body and extends at least partially along and around the duct.

Hand dryer

The present invention relates to a hand dryer for drying a user's hands by means of an airflow discharged through an air outlet on the hand dryer. The airflow is generated by a motor-driven fan unit, the airflow exiting the fan unit through a fan outlet on the fan unit. The fan unit is mounted to a fixed part of the hand dryer by means of an inflatable mount secured to the fixed part. The mount incorporates at least one inflatable duct connecting the fan outlet to the air outlet, which inflatable duct is, in use, inflated by the airflow passing from the fan outlet to the air outlet to provide pneumatic support for the fan unit.

Foam drying apparatus

A foam drying apparatus is provided. The apparatus is configured to pass air, and in some cases heated and/or dried air, through a quantity of foam. This air passing through the foam absorbs or otherwise carries moisture out of the foam, drying it. The apparatus may utilize a pressure differential on opposite sides of the foam, causing air on the higher pressure side to pass through the foam. Typical applications may include the drying of foam assemblies which use water based adhesives to accelerate drying of the adhesive and/or removal of water from the foam assembly, and packaging of the foam assembly.

Hand dryer

The invention relates to a hand dryer for drying a user's hands by means of an airflow discharged through an air outlet on the hand dryer. The airflow is generated by a motor-driven fan unit. The hand dryer comprises a plurality of air intakes, the air intakes being connected to the fan unit to form a plurality of parallel air-intake paths. Each air intake path is provided with a separate air-filter. The air-filters may be replaceable for individual replacement as required.
