APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING SPONTANEOUS IGNITION OF TRANSFERRED COAL IN APPARATUS FOR DRYING COAL USING REHEAT STEAM
20170145315 · 2017-05-25 · ·

The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing, in a multi-stage dryer for drying coal using reheat steam, spontaneous ignition caused by oxidation of coal when coal is transferred to the multi-stage dryer from a fixed quantity coal supplier by way of a pulverizer. The present invention relates to an apparatus for drying coal using reheat steam, the apparatus being configured so that coal which has been dried primarily in a first coal dryer is inputted into a second coal dryer and thus is secondarily dried, wherein reheat steam generated from a reheater is supplied through a reheat steam supply pipe; a nitrogen supplier supplies nitrogen through a nitrogen supply pipe; saturated steam generated from a saturated steam generator is supplied through a saturated steam supply pipe; the reheat steam supply pipe, the nitrogen supplier, and the saturated steam supply pipe are connected to a 4-way valve; and the 4-way valve supplies nitrogen and saturated steam, or nitrogen or saturated steam, along with reheat steam, to first to fourth steam chambers through the steam supply pipe, and injects steam into coal which is transferred to a first transfer plate and a second transfer plate so that spontaneous ignition of coal is prevented in the course of drying and transferring coal.

Drying system for protective eyewear
09657988 · 2017-05-23 ·

A system is provided for drying precipitation from protective eyewear of the type worn by a motorcyclist or other person operating a vehicle when the operator is exposed to the elements. A compressor delivers compressed air to an air tank which is, in turn, connected through a conduit to the eyewear. An activation switch is operated to open a solenoid valve, which allows air to be transmitted through the conduit from the air tank to the glasses. One or more discharge openings of the conduit are directed at the lens(es) of the eyewear such that when the activation switch is closed, compressed air is delivered through the discharge opening(s) and directed toward the lens(es) to dry the eyewear.

Rotary adsorbent dryers for compressed gas

A rotary adsorbent dryer is provided which includes a stationary outer housing having spaced stationary end walls, and a rotor mounted for rotation within the outer housing. A plurality of compressed gas passages pass through the end walls to provide compressed gas flow to or from a respective substantially open end of the rotor. A drive arrangement is provided which is cooperable with an outer circumferential region of the rotor so that it is not necessary to provide a drive shaft which extends axially through desiccant material within the rotor.

Separately controllable air circulation drying system
09638463 · 2017-05-02 ·

An air circulation system adapted to dry floors that is segregated and separately controllable from the building's HVAC system. The system includes an air duct having an inlet and an outlet, a fan, and a heater. The inlet is adapted to drawn air in from either the surrounding environment or is connectable to the building's existing air circulation ductwork. The system is designed so that the outlet is positionable adjacently to a floor surface when the system is installed in a wall or to the exterior surface of a wall, thereby allowing the fan to blow air directly over the surface of the floor, increasing the efficiency with which the floor is dried. The present system further comprises a wireless transceiver for wirelessly controlling the functionality of the present system and various other activation mechanisms for separately controlling the fan and the heater without requiring direct user input.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THE CONTROLLED CONVEYANCE OF A WORKPIECE THROUGH A FLUIDIZED BED DRYER
