An adjustable three dimensional mannequin head is provided for fitting a variety of head gear including but not limited to wigs, hats, caps, helmets and similar items. The adjustable mannequin head consist of a plurality of parts that move in a synchronized manner to expand and contract the size of the adjustable mannequin head to allow fitting to size; wigs, hats, and similar items. The mannequin head consist of four quadrants that make up the crown of the head. These four quadrants are mechanically adjusted by a single screw, which when turned will either expand or contract the adjustable mannequin head based on the direction the screw is turned. The adjustable mannequin head provides matching and fitting head gear to individual heads.

A 3D garment fitting method is provided. The method includes the following steps: A: 3D-scanning a mannequin to form a first 3D body shape figure file; B: wearing a garment on the mannequin to form a garment mannequin; C: 3D-scanning the garment mannequin to form a body shape and garment figure file; D: removing a part of the body shape and garment figure file including the first 3D body shape figure file to form a first 3D garment figure file; E: 3D-scanning an actual body shape of a user to form a second 3D body shape figure file; F: stretching or cutting the first 3D body shape figure file into the second 3D body shape figure file, and defining a scale of the stretching or the cutting as a 3D deformation; and G: adjusting the first 3D garment figure file according to the 3D deformation to form a second 3D garment figure file.

Analyzing a prosthetic torso with synthetic skin and breast tissue includes monitoring a movement of a prosthetic torso with a sensor, and determining, based on data from the sensor, a viscoelastic characteristic of the prosthetic torso. The movement can include at least one of a jumping motion, a walking motion, or a running motion.

A sensor apparatus includes a mannequin to emulate a human body part. The mannequin includes a core that emulates flexibility of a substantially inflexible skeletal portion of the body part, and a pliant covering. The pliant covering includes a pliant three-dimensional surface that emulates contours of an epidermis of the body part, and at least one pliant three-dimensional interior portion to emulate resiliency of a pliant portion of the body part. At least one pressure sensor is arranged between the three-dimensional surface and the core to sense pressure applied against the pliant three-dimensional surface.

Garment property determination using robotic mannequin

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for garment property determination are disclosed. One or more movable portions of a mannequin are adjusted, thereby causing the mannequin to change from a first size to a second size. Signals are received from one or more sensors of the mannequin, and pressure readings applied to at least one location on an exterior surface of the mannequin are determined from the signals. Data that correlates at least a first pressure reading with the first size of the mannequin and that correlates at least a second pressure reading with the second size of the mannequin are stored.
