An embodiment of a heat exchanger assembly includes a first manifold adapted for receiving a first medium, a core adapted for receiving and placing a plurality of mediums, including the first medium, in at least one heat exchange relationship, and a core meeting the first manifold at a first core/manifold interface; The mounting structure supports a heat exchanger, and is metallurgically joined to at least one heat exchanger assembly component at a first joint integrally formed with the mounting structure.

Tube support system for nuclear steam generators

Apparatus for a steam generator that employs tube support plates within a shroud that is in turn disposed within a shell. The tube support plates are made of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion lower than that of the shroud. The tube support plates are aligned during fabrication, with minimal clearances between components. Using a tube support displacement system, a controlled misalignment is then imposed on one or more tube support plates, as the steam generator heats up. The tube support plate displacement system has only one part, a push rod, which is internal to the steam generator shroud, thereby minimizing the potential of loose parts. The tube support plate displacement system can be used to provide controlled misalignments on one or more tube support plates, in the same or varying amounts and directions, and with one or more apparatus for each individual tube support plate.

Heat exchanger header

A header for a heat exchanger includes a first and a second cylindrical fluid manifold extending in parallel. Each of the first and second manifolds have tube slots that extend through an arcuate wall section of the manifold. A thickened wall section of the header having a generally triangular wall section is bounded by the first and second fluid manifolds and by a planar outer surface of the header. An aperture extends through the thickened wall section to provide a fluid communication pathway between the first and second cylindrical fluid manifolds.

Pipe supporting system

A holding system (101, 102, 103) for holding at least one pipe, comprising a comb including a bar and parallel teeth perpendicular to the bar. A blocking device (30) consisting essentially of a pin, serves to prevent a pipe passing between two of the teeth from moving away from the bar. The holding system further comprises two supports (40A, 40B), positioned at the ends of the comb, and which hold the comb so as to allow rotation thereof around the axis of the bar. A method for mounting a heat exchanger (100) comprising such a holding system.
