Prime surface heat exchanger with contoured separator members
A heat exchanger includes a plurality of interconnected separator members that respectively include a first surface and an opposite second surface. The separator members respectively include an array of wave features. Also, the separator members are stacked and disposed in an alternating arrangement with the first surfaces of adjacent separator members facing each other and attached at the respective wave features, and with the second surfaces of adjacent separator members facing each other and attached at the respective wave features. The heat exchanger also includes a plurality of first flow passages for first fluid flow and second flow passages for second fluid flow. The second fluid and the first fluid are configured to exchange heat through the separator members.
EVAPORATOR UNIT
An evaporator for an air conditioning system includes a plurality of clamshell plates stacked in series along a longitudinal axis and a plurality of core tubes coupled with the stacked clamshell plates. In an upper region of the evaporator, the stacked clamshell plates form an inlet tank and an outlet tank hydraulically communicated with the core tubes for a refrigerant flow. Each of the clamshell plates includes a pooling ridge on a first surface of the clamshell plate for pooling a liquid refrigerant by gravity such that the liquid refrigerant is evenly distributed to inlet core tubes disposed along the longitudinal axis.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger including a first header tank and a second header tank that are disposed to be spaced apart a predetermined distance in a height direction and a core part that is disposed between the first header tank and the second header tank and includes a plurality of tubes and fins, the first header tank including a first header plate, a first tank, and a first partition wall that divides a space formed by a combination of the first header plate and the first tank to form a plurality of flow paths, a manifold including an inflow passage and an outflow passage being connected to an outer side of the first header tank, and the inflow passage and the outflow passage having different sizes to each other, the outflow passage having a larger cross-sectional area than that of the inflow passage.
Liquid receiver, and vehicle-use air conditioning device condenser including the liquid receiver
Described is a stopper including a filtering unit housed in an interior of a liquid receiver main body through which a refrigerant passes, a fixed portion that includes a screw portion that is screwed into an inner peripheral face of the liquid receiver main body, a sealing member in contact with the inner peripheral face of the liquid receiver main body, thereby preventing a leakage of a refrigerant to the fixed portion, and a movable connection portion provided between the filtering unit and the fixed portion for linking the filtering unit to the fixed portion in such a way that the filtering unit is not caused to follow a rotation of the fixed portion, and in such a way that the filtering unit is caused to follow an axial direction movement of the fixed portion.
HEAT EXCHANGER CLOSURE ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF USING AND INSTALLING THE SAME
A heat exchanger assembly including an elongated tubular heat exchanger enclosure defining an interior chamber. A tube sheet is positioned within the interior chamber of the heat exchanger enclosure separating the interior chamber into a shell side and a channel side. The interior portion is configured to removably receive a tube bundle positioned within the shell side of the interior chamber. An annular sleeve member is positioned within the channel side of the interior chamber of the heat exchanger enclosure. An annular elastic torsion member is positioned within the channel side of the interior chamber of the heat exchanger such that the sleeve member is positioned between the tube sheet and the elastic torsion member. The elastic torsion member has an inner circumference deflectable relative to its outer circumference for torsioning the elastic torsion member.
Condenser with integrated receiver
A receiver includes a large diameter main body portion, and an intermediate member side small diameter portion. A wall thickness of the intermediate member side small diameter portion is smaller than a wall thickness of the main body portion. As a result, heat capacity of the intermediate member side small diameter portion is reduced. As a result, it is possible to complete brazing between the intermediate member side small diameter portion and the intermediate member, at the same time as brazing among tanks, tubes, and fins. A desiccant enclosed in a flexible bag can be taken in and out through the intermediate member side small diameter portion.
TUBE HEAT EXCHANGER
A tube heat exchanger for exchanging heat from a first fluid to a second fluid, comprising a tubular shell; an inner wall extending around a center axis of said tubular shell and forming a central chamber internally of said inner wall, and an annular heat exchange space extending externally of said inner wall and enclosed by said tubular shell, wherein the heat exchange space comprises a plurality of axially extending heat exchange sectors separated by radially extending separating walls, and flow paths of the first fluid and the second fluid extend in the heat exchange space, wherein adjacent heat exchange sectors communicate; and a set of flow tubes extending axially in each of said heat exchange sectors in said heat exchange space. At least one radially extending baffle is provided to divide said heat exchange sectors into at least two axially displaced heat exchange segments, wherein a flow path of the second fluid extends radially in opposite directions in adjacent heat exchange segments in the heat exchange sectors, and a flow path of the first fluid extends perpendicular to the flow path of the second fluid.
CTE-MATCHED HEAT PIPE
Heat sinks having a mounting surface with a coefficient of thermal expansion matching that of silicon are disclosed. Heat pipes having layered composite or integral composite low coefficient of expansion heat sinks are disclosed that can be mounted directly to silicon semiconductor devices.
Modulator assembly for condenser
A modulator assembly for a condenser. The modulator assembly has a tube having a first end and a second end. A first connector is brazed to the first end of the tube. A second connector is threadably secured at the second end of the tube.
