Compact Privacy Screen
A privacy screen or movable barrier including a plurality of base support members and a curtain. Each of the base support members including a base, a plurality of legs that are pivotably connected to the base, and a post that extends outward from the base. The curtain includes a plurality of frame members and at least one panel connected between the frame members. Each frame member includes a proximal portion configured to mate with the post of a respective base support member, and a distal portion that is hingedly connected to the proximal portion. In a deployed state of the base support members, the legs extend radially outward from the base, and in a non-deployed state of the base support members, the legs extend axially parallel with the post. In a deployed state of the curtain, the distal portion is unfolded relative to the proximal portion, and in a non-deployed state of the curtain, the distal portion is folded relative to the proximal portion.
PRIVACY SCREEN APPARATUS
A privacy screen apparatus can include a body having a plurality of elongated recesses and between elongated pillow regions. The pillow regions can have a larger width than the recesses. In some embodiments, the body can be configured to bend about the elongated recesses to different configurations. A plurality of stand elements can be connected to the bottom of the body to permit the body to be free standing. In other embodiments, a plurality of connectors can be connected to the body for connecting the body to an article of furniture, such as a tabletop or a desktop.

Flexible, sound-attenuating roll-up wall system
The present invention is directed to a roll-up, flexible, sound-attenuating wall system. More particularly, this invention relates to a retractable wall system and its components which may be used to divide existing larger spaces into smaller spaces with sound-attenuating barriers. In each unit the flexible, sound-attenuating wall is attached to a receiver tube which, when turned on its axis, deploys or retracts the flexible, sound-attenuating wall. The flexible, sound-attenuating wall is guided by a guide roller to intersect with other flexible, sound-attenuating walls at various angles. The receiver tube and guide roller are attached at either end to independent support brackets. This invention discloses a plurality of interlocking connector systems for connecting a plurality of flexible, sound-attenuating walls at various angles. Further, this invention discloses a winding mechanism disposed in and attached to receiver tube which turns the receiver tube on its longitudinal axis to deploy or retract the flexible, sound-attenuating wall.
Removable barrier for protecting tunnels and other structures from flooding and other hazards
A system for preventing fluid from entering a walled structure includes a support structure configured for fixing to at least one surface of the walled structure; and a barrier apparatus attachable and anchorable to the support structure, the barrier apparatus including a fluid retention member configured for intercepting a fluid entering the walled structure, and a collar for holding the fluid retention member against an interior surface of the walled structure, proximate the opening. As fluid enters the barrier apparatus, the pressure increases against the interior surface of the fluid retention member, pressing it against the walled structure. The collar in combination with the fluid retention member to which it is attached acts like a gasket to tighten a seal between the barrier apparatus and the walled structure.

Protective enclosure for, and method of, protecting a patient on a stretcher
A protective enclosure provides patient privacy and protection from inclement weather to a patient on a mattress on a stretcher. The enclosure includes a pair of slidable base portions and a cover connected to, and extending between, the base portions. The base portions are movable toward and away from each other in a transverse common plane underneath the mattress along a transverse axis that extends widthwise of the mattress. The cover bounds an interior space in which a body part of the patient is received. The cover has an overhead structure that extends along the transverse axis above the transverse common plane.
Flexible Furniture System
A flexible article is provided having a core formed from a plurality of laminar panels that are inter-connected to provide an expandable structure upon movement of the panels away from each other. Opposite ends of the core terminate in a pair of end panels whereby the end panels may be moved apart to expand the expandable structure. A passage extends in a direction between the end panels and intersects the panels, At least two tubes connected with a connector are located within the passage, and the connector includes two ends that are respectively friction fitted with ends of the tubes.
