Variable payload magazine with automatic reload feature

A magazine for loading projectiles into a launch assembly by gravity feed. The magazine has a plurality blades radially extending from a central axis and defining a like plurality of compartments in an axially rotatable ring. The ring rests upon a stationary deck plate having a hole for gravity feed of the projectile into the launch assembly below. Projectiles having different fight characteristics are deposited into the compartments at a safe location, supported by the deck plate and the launch assembly with an associated device are transported to a hostile environment. A first projectile is launched by the launch assembly in a longitudinal direction. The launch assembly is retracted, automatically indexing the rotatable ring and dropping the next projectile through the hole and into the launch assembly for subsequent launch.

Ammunition magazine for reciprocally-cycled weapon

An ammunition magazine is used with a reciprocally-cycled weapon for delinking and firing cartridges in close-end linked ammunition belts. The magazine includes a housing with an ammunition indexing mechanism fixed to one side of the housing. A magazine feed box is disposed above the ammunition indexing mechanism. The magazine feed box includes a movable follower having an upper and a lower position and cam pins that engage cam slots in the magazine feed box. The movable follower is configured to receive a cartridge from the weapon.

Lifting plug for high explosive projectile capable of forming vent by thermal fuse

The present invention relates to a lifting plug for a high explosive projectile capable of forming a vent by a thermal fuse, in which the lifting plug is mounted to a front part of a shell of the high explosive projectile such that the vent can be formed in the lifting plug by the thermal fuse when unexpected accidents such as fires or terrorism occur during storage of the high explosive projectile, so the lifting plug can induce burning or deflagrating of the thermal fuse without allowing the high explosive projectile to be detonated or exploded by accumulated heat in the high explosive projectile due to the vent, thereby improving safety of the high explosive projectile.
