Weapon Demilitarization System and Process

A fully automatic small arms demilitarization system includes individual infeed conveyance systems loaded at a single process initiation location; multiple hydraulic press stations fed by the individual infeed conveyance systems; and the multiple hydraulic press stations configured to crush one section of each weapon per cycle, incrementally crushing an entire length of each weapon, completely distorting each weapon to preclude restoration to a useable condition. The system further including an output system configured to output demilitarized weapons onto a common outfeed conveyance system that delivers the demilitarized weapons to a single recycle bin.

Provided is a trigger mechanism having a housing, a trigger member, a trigger dog, and a striker dog. The trigger member is pivotally mounted in the housing, movable between set and pulled positions. The trigger dog is pivotally mounted in the housing and a first lever arm portion of the trigger dog engages a lever arm portion of the trigger member by a first over-center linkage. The striker dog is pivotally mounted in the housing, movable between set and released positions with a lever arm portion engaged to a second lever arm portion of the trigger dog by a second over-center linkage. The over-center linkages are configured to inhibit rotation of the striker dog from the set position to the released position until the trigger member is manipulated from the set position to the pulled position with a force greater than an engagement threshold of the over-center linkages.

TEST GUN BARREL EXTENSION JOINT

Disclosed herein is a test gun barrel for use with a long range projectile testing system. The test gun barrel comprising a main gun barrel and a gun barrel extension. The main gun barrel and gun barrel extension each include a joint end having aligning cylinders and bores to properly align the main gun barrel to the extension prior to engaging threaded coupling. A seal capable of being inspected is made once main gun barrel is fully coupled to gun barrel extension.
