METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ORAL HYDRATION UNIT
Apparatus and methods according to various aspects of the present technology may comprise a fluid reservoir configured to provide a user with access to the fluid while the user is in bed. In one embodiment, the fluid reservoir may comprise a body suitably configured to be positioned near the bed while allowing the user to receive fluid from the reservoir without having to sit up or get out of bed. In one embodiment, the fluid reservoir may comprise a flexible delivery conduit having a valve at one end that allows the user to ingest the fluid when desired.
Layered and secureable spare flaps for rest supports
A cover for rest supports such as pillow cases, seat cushions, headrests, armrests, bedding and pet bedding is disclosed with layered secure spare flaps. A plurality of spare flaps are attached in respective layers to the cover at an end of each flap and another end is successively folded around the cover and secured thereto to provide additional unused resting surfaces for a person or an animal. The spare flaps therefore provide multiple fresh resting surfaces between launderings. Embodied flaps may also be disposably detached from the cover to preclude launderings altogether. The layered flaps may include use indicia and be to secured to each other and a rest support cover via a fastener on a flap and a complementary fastener disposed respectively on the cover. Disclosed fasteners include thin magnets, hook and loop, grommet and tie, button and hole and ganged hole and post pairs and the like.
INSECT BARRIER AND REPELLANT FABRIC
An insect barrier and repellant fabric includes a plurality of resilient spacers. Each resilient spacer has a first end secured to a first side of a fabric substrate, and a free second end extending away from the fabric substrate. A pesticide is carried by the plurality of resilient spacers. The pesticide is one of permethrin, deltamethrin or other similar chemical insect repellant. The pesticide may be carried on a surface of the resilient spacers or encapsulated within its structure, for example.

High performance, skin friendly, fabric for patient transfer and care and lifting devices made therefrom
Provided are fabrics and lifting devices that are high performance and skin friendly, for patient care, including as bed linens upon which a patient may sleep and/or rest, as well as patient slings for lifting and/or repositioning a patient.
Economical Fire Barrier Nonwoven or Fabric Material with Antimicrobial Properties
Provided herein is a new fire barrier material composed of flame retardant (FR) cellulosic fiber(s) and one or more of an antimicrobial (AM) cellulosic fiber and an untreated cellulosic fiber(s). The fire barrier material may be a fabric woven or knitted from the yarn containing the FR cellulosic fiber(s) and the one or more of AM cellulosic fibers and untreated cellulosic fibers. When AM cellulosic fibers are combined with FR treated cellulosic fibers, the fire barrier material has the dual features of flame retardancy and antimicrobial properties. The fire barrier material may also be a nonwoven, and in preferred embodiments optionally includes a binder fiber. The FR cellulosic fiber contains FR chemical(s) or FR compound(s) that have a melting point or decomposition temperature at 400° C. (752° F.) or below. The FR performance of the new nonwoven provided herein is comparable to the conventional FR nonwoven (FR cellulosic fiber/binder fiber), but has advantages in cost effectiveness, as well as antimicrobial properties.
SLEEPING APPARATUS WITH COMPRESSED STATIC MAGNETIC FIELDS
The devices and methods of stimulating the immune system to treat damaged and abnormal tissue using compressed static magnetic fields provides for noninvasive treatment of damages tissue and removal of abnormal tissue. At least two magnets are positioned to have their static magnetic fields compressed at the damaged or abnormal tissue and at the immediately surrounding healthy tissue. The compressed static magnetic fields stimulate the immune system in the immediately surrounding healthy tissue which treats the damaged or abnormal tissue. The treated tissue fully regenerates without additional medical intervention. The devices provide for efficient exposure to compressed magnetic fields and ease of use at different locations on a body and different types of animal species.

Mattress with user adjustable comfort features
A mattress wherein a plurality of independent yarn based fire barrier fabrics encases a plurality of distinct and unattached interior core structures. The plurality of interior core structures include at least a detached and internally flippable upper comfort layer assembly with a plurality of non-homogeneous foams or filling materials encased in a yarn-based fire barrier fabric and a lower, interiorly disposed support core structure with resilient filling materials encased in a yarn-based fire barrier fabric and a fabric cover. The detachable and internally flippable upper comfort layer assembly may be contained in a user accessible compartment that is fashioned into an outer cover assembly.
