A plurality of first sensory cues are generated capable of being perceived by a user. Each first sensory cue of the plurality of first sensory cues is dependent on a position of at least one body member of a performer relative to a performance element of a performance object with which an event is performed. The plurality of first sensory cues being effective for stimulating a first processing center of a brain of the user. A plurality of visual sensory cues are generated capable of being displayed to the user on a video display device. The visual sensory cues providing a virtual visual indication to the user of the position of the at least one body member. The visual sensory cues being effective for stimulating the visual processing center of the brain of the user. The visual sensory cues being synchronized with the first sensory cues so that the position of the at least one body member is virtually visually indicated in synchronization with the first sensory cue and so that the visual processing center is stimulated with a visual sensory cue in synchronization with a first sensory cue stimulating the first processing center. The synchronized stimulation of the first processing center and the visual processing center is effective for teaching the user to perform a version of the event.

Gaming method and system for projecting volumetric images onto a physical scene

The present disclosure relates to a gaming system projecting volumetric images onto a physical scene that includes a background and props positioned in front of the background. A gaming engine causes a projector to project an image onto the physical scene. A pointer device receives triggering commands from an operator. A camera captures an image of a portion of the physical scene being targeted by the pointer device. The captured portion includes lighting points emitted by the physical scene, the captured lighting points forming a specific pattern. A targeting system uses the specific pattern as a reference to identify a three-dimensional position of a target located within the captured portion and causes the gaming engine to modify a visible feature of the target when a when a triggering command is received at the pointer device. A method of projecting volumetric images onto the physical scene is also disclosed.

System and method for evaluating the performance of a weapon system

A system and method for evaluating the performance of a weapon platform by modeling, simulating, and analyzing all relative aspects of an engagement that would contribute to a fired projectile missing its intended impact point. The present system embodies various aspects as software objects and defines their dependencies and structure using a multi-node tree. The present system uses an imaged based approach to capture the lethality of ammunition, vulnerability of the targets, and results of an engagement scenario. Monte Carlo simulation is used to calculate the outcome statics and to display individual outcomes of the engagement to the user. The resulting product surpasses the capabilities and performance of conventional systems, protects proprietary information, and reduces the amount of time needed to analyze a weapon system.

BARREL MECHANISMS FOR FIREARM TRAINING
20220364816 · 2022-11-17 ·

A firearm training barrel for a replica gun, the gun having a slide and a magazine with a follower. The barrel includes an extended or extendable member positioned or positionable to simulate the presence of one or more pellets in the magazine, whereby the replica gun can be fired even after the magazine's follower has reached the top of the magazine.

Ammunition Belt Capture and Release Mechanism and Method for an Imitation Machine Gun
20170328668 · 2017-11-16 · ·

A simulated ammunition belt is captured in and released from a feedway of an imitation machine gun by selectively extending and retracting a retaining projection into the space between adjacent simulated rounds of the ammunition belt. The retaining projection is operably connected to a cover of the gun housing and is concealed within the housing when the cover is closed.

SMALL ARMS SHOOTING SIMULATION SYSTEM

A shooting simulation system and method for training personnel in targeting visual and non-line-of-sight targets. The firearm simulation system has a plurality of participants each having a firearm and each being equipped to transmit their location to a remote computer server for storage and use with other transmitted data to determine which participant was a Shooter and which participant was the Shooter's target and for determining a simulated hit or miss of the target and assessing the simulated damage to the target.

Trigger emulation mechanism of electric gun
09803948 · 2017-10-31 · ·

A trigger emulation mechanism of an electric gun is disclosed. When actuated, a trigger assembly causes a retainer assembly to drive the toothed rack element to allow the toothed rack element to operate in combination with a gear shaft assembly to amplify a rotational angle, making the gear shaft assembly drive a striker hammer plate to rotate and allowing the striker hammer plate to drive the striker hammer elastic element to accumulate energy therein. Afterward, the retainer assembly may release the toothed rack element, causing the striker hammer elastic element to force the striker hammer plate to rotate in an opposite direction to strike thus generate sound and vibration, thereby achieving advantages of enhancing the degree of simulation by generating sound and vibration and an idle stroke before firing is initiated and also reducing the size thereof for applications to various models of electric guns.
