Accessories may be mounted using a quick-detachable multi-purpose accessory mounting platform. The platform may include one or more clamps to receive an object, such as a firearm. A gun cleaning apparatus includes a cleaning tool and a storage case. The first end of the tube is configured to attach to a long gun or crossbow. The first end can be configured with a section of fabric that fits between the barrel and pump action of a pump action shotgun. The first end can be configured to attach to the forend of a crossbow such as by hook and loop fastener, snaps, or zippers. The first end can be configured for positioning over the barrel of a rifle such that the first end is below a line of sight through a scope attached to the rifle.

A non-propellant personal defense tool of the present invention is a hefty deterrent and resembles the image and action of a shotgun by an attacker when the vision of the attacker is impaired by the vision impairment light. In specific embodiments, the combat housing is shaped like a bat. Additionally, further embodiments also trigger an alarm or an alarm system.

Disclosed herein is a method and apparatus for replacing a selector switch of lower receiver of a firearm, the method including the steps of: removing an ancillary portion of the selector switch; inserting a sear spring and sear deflector block into the lower receiver such that a hook portion and an end portion of the sear spring engage a sear and a portion of a sear spring to cause the sear and the portion of a sear spring to be disengaged from the selector switch; inserting a detent deflector button into a side of the lower receiver such a spring biased detent is depressed and the selector switch extends from an opposite side of the lower receiver; removing the selector switch; inserting a new selector switch into the opposite side of the lower receiver such that the detent deflector button is dislodged from the side of the lower receiver; removing the sear spring and sear deflector block; and securing the removing the ancillary portion or a new ancillary portion to the new selector switch.

A magazine release button assembly for a firearm, including at least some of a button member, wherein the button member includes a projection extending from an end of the button member, and wherein the projection comprises a dovetail projection; and a finger pad member, wherein the finger pad member includes a recess, wherein the recess comprises a dovetail recess, wherein the dovetail recess is mateable with the dovetail projection of the button member, and wherein the finger pad member is secured to the end of the button member via interaction of the dovetail projection and the dovetail recess.

A magazine release button assembly for a firearm, including at least some of a button member, wherein the button member includes a projection extending from an end of the button member, and wherein the projection comprises a dovetail projection; and a finger pad member, wherein the finger pad member includes a recess, wherein the recess comprises a dovetail recess, wherein the dovetail recess is mateable with the dovetail projection of the button member, and wherein the finger pad member is secured to the end of the button member via interaction of the dovetail projection and the dovetail recess.

A set of walls extends from the top side of the floor. The body also includes a set of legs extending from the opposed bottom side of the floor. A tension band is attached to the set of walls, and a selectively removable tool is disposed on the body.
