Provided herein is a string shooting device having a string capable of generating lift when propelled from the string shooting device and a guide to readily attach and detach the string from the string shooting device. A string shooting device described herein includes: a body; a housing attached to the body; a pair of wheels, where at least one of the pair of wheels is a driven wheel; and a string, where the string includes a surface texture configured to increase air friction in response to the string being propelled through the air by the pair of wheels. The string of an example embodiment defines an axis along which the string extends, and where the string includes a plurality of fibers extending away from the axis.

A ball throwing machine can include a hopper for receiving one or more balls and a ball delivery device. The ball delivery device can be used to throw or pitch a ball from the hopper to a user of the machine. The ball delivery device can include wheels to impart speed to the ball and a direction system to control the projection angle of the ball. The direction system can control at least one of the up and down angle and the side to side angle of the ball as it is thrown, among possibly other throwing parameters. A controller may be provided for controlling operation of the ball throwing machine.

A sports projectile delivery system may control the operation of a launcher to cause an American football or other sports projectile to be delivered to a target location on a field. In some aspects, the system can track player movements on the field, e.g., through the use of a tracking device mounted on the player, enabling the ball etc. to be launched to a player in anticipation of where the player will go. The system may include additional customization and/or logging options, e.g., permitting a player to designate a body position (e.g., above the head or near the knees) for delivery of the ball, designate a speed or hang time for delivery, or provide player data and analytics to an online or otherwise connected database.

A sports projectile delivery system may control the operation of a launcher to cause an American football or other sports projectile to be delivered to a target location on a field. An improvised projectile checking housing assembly having latch button and first and second sidewalls with first and second catch apertures opening as a catch latch recess of elongated structure using an improvised projectile checking spring opening to receive a locking key structure based upon the projectile receiving opening to the improvised projectile checking housing assembly. Alternate rearward translating lock gauge at the backside of a dart drum uses a follower and engaging cam surfaces locking and unlocking a pathway for correct dart alignment. Alternate motorized, non-motorized and pneumatic structures are disclosed with apparatus launch operations moving between checking and non-checking positions.

A magazine loading mechanism is positioned intermediate the funnel and the inserted magazine for receiving darts, and a stuffer mechanism above the inserted magazine penetrates the dart retaining lips of the magazine to stuff darts for loading into the magazine. The dart launching mechanism is positioned in the housing forward the inserted magazine.

A firing device includes a magazine configured to receive a plurality of toy bullets and a turret connected with the magazine. A bottom plate of the magazine is provided with a bullet output port. The turret includes a conduit, a barrel aligned with the conduit, and a propelling device disposed between the conduit and the barrel. The conduit is disposed below the magazine and is provided with a guide slot including a bullet inlet substantially aligned with the bullet output port of the magazine.

A firing device includes a magazine configured to receive a plurality of toy bullets and a turret connected with the magazine. A bottom plate of the magazine is provided with a bullet output port. The turret includes a conduit, a barrel aligned with the conduit, and a propelling device disposed between the conduit and the barrel. The conduit is disposed below the magazine and is provided with a guide slot including a bullet inlet substantially aligned with the bullet output port of the magazine.
