String shooting device

Provided herein is a string shooting device having a string capable of generating lift when propelled from the string shooting device and a guide to readily attach and detach the string from the string shooting device. A string shooting device described herein includes: a body; a housing attached to the body; a pair of wheels, where at least one of the pair of wheels is a driven wheel; and a string, where the string includes a surface texture configured to increase air friction in response to the string being propelled through the air by the pair of wheels. The string of an example embodiment defines an axis along which the string extends, and where the string includes a plurality of fibers extending away from the axis.

Actuated flywheel projectile launcher

Various embodiments include an actuated projectile launcher, including: a base structure; a projectile support, and a holding area from which a projectile launches; propulsion wheels selectively driven to rotate; and support arms, each supporting at a first end thereof a separate one of the propulsion wheels and being supported at an opposed second end thereof by the base structure. The support arms are configured to move the propulsion wheels between an expanded position and a contracted position, in which the propulsion wheels are closer to one another in the contracted position as compared to the expanded position. The movement of the propulsion wheels toward the contracted position brings the propulsion wheels into engagement with the projectile and drives the projectile from the holding area.

An enhanced projectile expelling apparatus provides stability and versatility expelling projectiles at various speeds and trajectories. The projectile expelling apparatus has a rotational expelling housing supported by a supporting stand that is adjustable into innumerable configurations by rotating a launch tube and/or tilting a feeder elbow disposed to abut the launch tube in rotational engagement. A rotational connector assembly facilitated the rotation of the launch tube, and a rearwardly-disposed pivot adjustment assembly facilitates the tilting of the feeder elbow. A speed-controlled motor rotates a drive wheel that imparts speed and spin to the projectiles. Depending upon the rotation of the launch tube, tilt of the feeder tube, and rotational speed of the drive wheel, the projectile expelling apparatus expels projectiles in various straight, curving, rising, dropping, and sliding trajectories.

A device for launching and catching an object is provided. The device may include a body having an inlet, an outlet, and a channel therebetween. A propulsion mechanism may be housed within the body and include a motor. The propulsion mechanism may receive an object traveling at a first speed within the channel and from the inlet and to adjust the speed of the object to a second speed enroute to the outlet such that the object is launched into the air. A receiving funnel defined by the body may catch the object as the object descends such that the object is directed back into the inlet. A method of playing a catch game is also provided which may include one or more devices for launching and catching an object.
