Limb retainer system and archery bow comprised thereof
09976831 · 2018-05-22 · ·

Embodiments of a limb retainer system to secure bow limbs to a riser on an archery bow. The limb retainer system includes a first part and a second part that are disposed, respectively, on a front and a back of the riser to position the limb elements to retain a shooting string under tension. In one embodiment, the first part secure the limb elements in position on the riser. The second part is configured to rotate relative to the first part, thereby allowing an end user to adjust the tension of the bowstring. This configuration offer a robust, cost effective design that prevents unwanted movement of the bow limbs and preserves adjustment necessary for adequate tuning of the archery bow.

Archery arrow rest assembly and slider therefor

An arrow rest assembly for bowfishing or the like includes a first arrow rest portion for supporting an arrow and a second arrow rest portion releasably connected to the first arrow rest portion, the second arrow rest portion has a bore for slidably receiving the shaft of an arrow. The second arrow rest portion slides along the arrow shaft and separates from the first arrow rest portion in a forward direction during forward movement of the arrow. A line extends between the archery bow and the second arrow rest portion for enabling retrieval of the arrow after it has been shot.

MATERIALS FOR USE IN ARCHERY EQUIPMENT

An archery bow can include a riser, a first limb coupled to the riser, a second limb coupled to the riser, a string extending between the first and second limb, and Non-Newtonian material (NN material). The NN material can be incorporated into at least one of the riser, the first limb, the second limb, the string, or another component of the archery bow. The NN material can have a material property (e.g., viscosity) which varies relative to a stress or force applied to the NN material. One or more portions of NN material can additionally, or alternatively, be incorporated into a projectile (e.g., an arrow) for an archery bow, an archery target or other archery equipment.
