Self-defense device
A hand weapon that appears to be an innocuous key carrying device is employed for self-defense. In a first preferred embodiment, the device includes a hollow handle having flexible cordage, typically a double cord, that passes through it to which a number of keys or other weighted objects are affixed via an attachment mechanism, usually a split-ring or similar mechanism. A spring-loaded plunger mechanism extending radially through a cross-section of the hollow handle pinches a portion of the flexible cordage in the interior of the hollow handle to hold it in position. A first position is where the attachment mechanism abuts a first end of the hollow handle. If an attacker threatens, the user depresses the spring-loaded plunger mechanism while slinging the first end with weighted objects affixed, typically keys, toward the attacker using a slashing movement. The weight of the keys aids in rapidly deploying the flexible cordage to a second position, which reaches full extension when the stop mechanism abuts the second end of the hollow handle. This action permits the keys to be hurled to and fro at an attacker. This self-defense device may be used for blocking and counterattacking the attacker.

THROWER BOARD WITH MAGNETIC SPUR AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A spear-throwing apparatus including a spear-thrower with a magnet spur, the projecting end of which extends substantially along the body of the spear-thrower. The spear-thrower may contain a recessed loading groove to receive a spear shaft (projectile) that has a socket with a metallic element embedded in it to receive the magnet spur. During use, the magnetic spur connects magnetically to the embedded metal element to join the spear-thrower and the spear shaft with enough force to be suspended without a need for force or pressure from a practitioner.
Restraining device
A non-lethal restraining device includes an extendable restraining strap retained within a device body until deployed, when the extendable restraining strap is then looped over a person. A biasing element allows the extendable restraining strap to be tightened once it has been fully deployed and looped around a person's body to restrict the person's movement. When the extendable strap is tightened around the person's body, the device provides control points to direct and manipulate the person safely.

Light emitting fire knife device
A light emitting fire knife device includes a blade structure, a first planar light emitting component, a second planar light emitting component, a handle structure, and a first cylindrical light emitting component. The blade structure includes a first distal end and a second distal end opposite the first distal end. The first planar light emitting component is disposed on a first planar surface of the blade structure and the second planar light emitting component is disposed on a second planar surface of the blade structure, where the second planar surface is opposite the first planar surface. The handle structure includes a third distal end and a fourth distal end opposite the third distal end, where the third distal end is configured to removably secure to the second distal end of the blade structure. The first cylindrical light emitting component is secured around the handle structure proximate the fourth distal end of the handle structure.

SPRING-ASSISTED DIGIT MOUNTED DEVICE FOR LAUNCHING PROJECTILES
A digit-mounted, spring-assisted device for launching a projectile in response to a launching motion of a finger by a user. The digit-mounted device may comprise a securing means for securing a launcher to the digit of the user. The securing means may comprise a strap, loop, or cinch. The digit-mounted device may further comprise a launch guide extending outwardly from a base member. A projectile may be mounted onto or into the launch guide. A spring may be mounted on the digit-mounted device which is placed under tension when the user prepares to make a launching motion with the digit. The projectile is launched in response to the user making a launching motion with the digit, using the thumb as a tensioning means. The spring is released from tension upon making a launching motion with the digit, adding to the force given to the projectile upon launch. The projectile may take a wide variety of forms.

Multifunctional Safety Tool
Provided herein are personal safety tools and multifunctional safety tool. The tools have a window striker and a tactical whip on each end of a grip or handgrip. Alternatively, the window striker includes a blade to enable a user to cut through a seat belt. The tool is useful for extricating one's self or another from a vehicle and/or for defending one's self or another from an attacker in an emergency.
