MULTIFUNCTIONAL SLIDE COVER PLATE
Slide cover plates, and handguns including the slide cover plates, where the slide cover plates include a primary cover plate portion and a sealing cover plate portion that is movably coupled to the primary cover plate portion so that the sealing cover plate portion has an open position and a closed position, and when in its closed position the slide cover plate provides protection for the interior of the handgun, and when in its open position the slide cover plate does not interfere with the forward movement of the pistol slide.
Pistol, ejector and takedown lever
A semiautomatic pistol has a takedown lever which also acts as an ejector. The takedown lever includes an ejector head and a finger. The finger is engageable with a sear when the takedown lever is rotated by depressing the ejector head through the ejection port when the slide is out of battery. This rotates the sear so that the slide may be removed by sliding it toward the muzzle end of the pistol.

PISTOL LOWER RECEIVER REAR RAIL INSERTS
A pistol frame can include a trigger mechanism recess, an upper rim extending about the trigger mechanism recess, a rear insert recess within the trigger mechanism recess, a left rear rail insert, and a right rear rail insert. The left rear rail insert can include an upper portion including a left rail and a lower portion including a first pin aperture. The right rear rail insert can include an upper portion including a right rail and a lower portion including a second pin aperture. The pistol frame can include a first and second pin hole aligned with the trigger mechanism recess and a pin that can extend through the first and second pin holes and through the first and second pin apertures.
Firearm operating system
A firearm operating system includes a housing, a central pivoting member disposed within the housing, a trigger including a portion disposed within the housing and a portion extending outside the housing such that the portion of the trigger within the housing includes a hole and at least one finger that extends in a first direction from the hole. Due to movement of the trigger, the at least one finger presses against the central pivoting member to cause the central pivoting member to rotate.

TRIGGER GROUP FOR STRIKER-FIRED FIREARMS
Trigger groups for striker-fired firearms have a firing pin assembly connected to a slide and operable to reciprocate between a rearward retracted position and a forward extended position, the firing pin assembly including a retention surface, a trigger assembly including a sear surface configured to selectively engage the retention surface to releasably restrain the firing pin assembly, the firing pin assembly being responsive to the trigger assembly to release from the retracted position to the extended position in response to movement of the trigger assembly from the forward trigger position to the rearward trigger position and to release from the retracted position to the extended position in response to movement of the trigger assembly from the rearward trigger position to the forward trigger position, the trigger assembly including a retainer movable between a clear position and a blocking position.

COMPACT POWDER FIRE-EXTINGUISHING DEVICE
The present compact powder fire-extinguishing device comprises a container containing a fire-extinguishing powder, said container being in the form of a single-use cartridge (1) containing a fire-extinguishing powder (3), said cartridge being separable from the fire-fighting device by means of a reusable fast-action firing device (4), wherein the fire-extinguishing powder (3) is disposed inside of a casing (2) of the cartridge (1) in a polymer tube (5), one end (6) of which is fastened at an outlet of the casing (2) of the cartridge (1), about the periphery of said casing, and the second end of the tube (5) abuts a sleeve (7) and is configured as a piston (8) having an aperture (9). Within the casing (2) of the cartridge (1) are provided means that generate a propulsive charge and are configured as a striker-type igniter-percussion cap (15) and a pyrotechnic gas generator (16) disposed one after the other, said gas generator being connected to the cavity of the sleeve (7), and the other end of the cartridge (1) is provided with a contoured surface (18) and is connected to the firing device (4) that comprises a mechanism for fastening and discharging the cartridge. Furthermore, the firing device (4) is provided with a striker trigger mechanism that comprises a head (30), a flat striking spring (32) having a striker (33), a hammer (38) connected to a trigger (41), and a safety catch (46).
Gas Operated Rotary Barrel Action and Pistol
An action for a firearm uses a rotating barrel on which are mounted lugs and a cam follower. The barrel is positioned coaxially within a tube fixed to the frame of the firearm. A cam, engaged by the cam follower, is also fixed to the frame. A gas space is defined between the tube and the barrel by a thrust surface on the barrel and a reaction surface on the tube. A gas port connects the gas space with the barrel's bore. A slide overlies the tube and defines longitudinally oriented grooves which receive the lugs when the barrel is rotated by interaction between the cam and the cam follower to align the lugs and the grooves. Motion of the barrel is arrested by interaction between the cam and cam follower, and motion of the slide relative to the barrel is permitted when the lugs align and engage the grooves.
