The trigger frame is removably mounted in the elongated channel of the grip frame. The accessory rail of the trigger frame is positioned forward of a forward end of the elongated channel of the grip frame so as to be exposed. The system further comprises a slide and barrel assembly slidably mounted on the slide rails of the trigger frame.

A light source may be disposed within and electrically connected to the second portion. An optical component may be coupled to the first portion at a first fixed distance from the light source. A circuit board may be electrically connected to the light source via at least one lead, wherein the lead may permit relative movement between the circuit board and the light source and may maintain a second fixed distance between the circuit board and the light source.
