A mounting structure includes a first rail socket for releasably securing a rail of a long gun including a sight device defining a first sight line, and a second rail socket for releasably securing a rail of a handgun including a sight device defining a second sight line. The mounting structure secures the handgun to the long gun, the handgun is spaced apart upright and parallel to one side of the long gun, the long gun and the handgun concurrently point downrange along the first and second sight lines, respectively, the first and second sight lines are not obstructed by the mounting structure, and the handgun is accessible by hand for holding and discharging the handgun without interference from the mounting structure, when the first rail socket and the second rail socket are releasably secured to the respective rails of the long gun and the handgun.

A rifle platform with semi-automatic, select fire, and/or fully automatic shooting options uses a pistol cartridge. The rifle barrel includes an extension having a ramp for loading the cartridges and having a key way for the shell extractor. The magazine of the rifle is mounted to the lower receiver so as to load the cartridges in a direction perpendicular to the rifle barrel. The magazine follower automatically locks the bolt after the last cartridge is fired. The bolt and bolt carrier are integrally machined, and fully enclose the cartridge to preclude out of battery firing.

A rifle platform with semi-automatic, select fire, and/or fully automatic shooting options uses a pistol cartridge. A gun lock of a firearm having two hammers movably disposed on a lock support, a trigger bar for each hammer for holding or releasing the hammers, a trigger, and a disconnector for the trigger, by which disconnector the trigger bars can be moved by the trigger from a holding position into a release position. The disconnector can be moved by an inertial mass between a triggering position, in which the trigger is connected to one of the two trigger bars, and a disconnect position, in which the connection between the trigger and the trigger bars is interrupted. The inertial mass is a pendulum mass swiveling about a transverse axis between a starting position and a safe position, by which the disconnector, upon the release of a first hammer, can be swiveled in a direction opposite to the direction of the pendulum mass into the disconnect position.

A universal chassis for a firearm includes sidewalls. The sidewalls define a trigger well that is configured to receive a trigger mechanism. One of the sidewalls may define a cutout adjacent the trigger well. The chassis is configured to interchangeably receive a bolt action and a barrel for a shotgun, a muzzle loader, and a rifle. The cutout is sized and dimensioned to receive a lever arm of the bolt action.

A universal chassis for a firearm includes sidewalls. The sidewalls define a trigger well that is configured to receive a trigger mechanism. One of the sidewalls may define a cutout adjacent the trigger well. The chassis is configured to interchangeably receive a bolt action and a barrel for a shotgun, a muzzle loader, and a rifle. The cutout is sized and dimensioned to receive a lever arm of the bolt action.

A rotating bolt firearm may be configured to fire a .308 cartridge. However, the firearm may have a reduced weight in comparison to standard .308 rifles. The firearm may have many components typically used in a .223 rifle. The firearm may include a barrel extension with an extractor gap, which allows a .308 bolt to fit within a .223 sized barrel extension. The firearm may comprise an elongated magazine well in comparison to a .223 mil-spec rifle. The firearm may weigh less than 6.8 pounds with a 16 inch barrel, or less than 6.3 pounds with a 10.5 inch barrel.

Devices, systems, and methods of manufacturing are disclosed with regard to a rapid-fire accessory that mounts onto a semi-automatic firearm using structural features thereof and/or added thereon to guide a trigger actuator for engaging a trigger and repeatedly firing the semi-automatic firearm. The rapid-fire accessory does not require the removal or replacement of the original, replacement, or aftermarket firearm grip or most other components of the firearm. The rapid-fire accessory provides a structural component an operator may hold that facilitates bump firing the semi-automatic firearm. Once mounted on the semi-automatic firearm, the rapid-fire accessory may slide rearward and forward, using a bottom rail on or below a forend of the semi-automatic firearm as a guiding surface and securing element. The rapid-fire accessory also includes a forward-hand grip for comfortably and securely holding the rapid-fire accessory steady, while the semi-automatic firearm is pushed forward and then recoils backward from discharging.

A self-loading shotgun includes a lock movable inside a lock housing between an open position and a closed position, a barrel, a magazine disposed below the barrel, a lock catch for holding the lock in the open position, and a feeder system for lifting a cartridge delivered from the magazine to the height of the barrel. The feeder system includes a feeder that swivels about a transverse axis and a magazine hatch that interacts with the lock catch. To allow the self-loading shotgun to be fully loaded even when the lock is open, the swivel movement of the feeder generated by the lock is controlled by a control element separate from the lock catch.

The invention relates to firearms (mainly sports and hunting) and is a magazine-fed firearm in which the magazine is located behind the trigger and at the angle to the vertical plane. This solution allows to reduce the length of the firearm, while not complicating the process of installing the magazine.
