A system for predicting exterior ballistics has first and second bullet detectors operable to detect the passage of a bullet, the first and second bullet detectors being spaced apart by a selected detector spacing distance, the first and second bullet detector each being connected to a common time signal facility that generates a time signal, the first bullet detector being operable to generate a first time of passage based on the time signal, the second bullet detector being operable to generate a second time of passage based on the time signal, the first bullet detector being operable to measure a first bullet velocity, a controller in communication with the first and second bullet detectors, and the controller operable based on the difference between the first time and the second time, and based on the first bullet velocity to calculate a ballistic characteristic for the bullet.

A flashlight for use with a pistol, the pistol having a trigger guard and a mounting rail. The flashlight includes an elongated housing having a clamping mechanism for mounting to the mounting rail, a light source at one end thereof, and paddle switches at an opposing end.

A camera mount system for a filming through an optic on a real or simulated gun while also allowing for accurate aiming is disclosed. The camera mount may have a gun engagement surface, a vertical positioning portion, camera housing, and a secondary sight and/or screen to film through the optic while the gun is aimed using the screen or secondary sight. Additionally, the camera mount may be adjustable along the horizontal, lateral, and vertical axes. The camera mount may utilize accessory rails to assist with attaching a secondary sight or incorporate a prism to use the optic being filmed through.

A laser aiming and illumination device comprising an illumination module, an illumination mode selector, a power module, an activation switch and a connection module. The illumination module including at least one of an illumination source and a laser source configured to be activated in a selected operating by actuation of the activation switch. The illumination mode selector configured to select said operating mode. The connection module releasably electrically connecting the power module and the illumination module.

A hand guard-to-barrel clamping system having provisions for internal clamping fasteners is disclosed. A hand guard assembly includes upper and lower members each having bores tangential to a longitudinal axis of the assembly. The bores are arranged such that fasteners can be inserted through the bores for securing the upper and lower members together, thereby clamping the hand guard assembly to the firearm. Such fasteners are internal to the hand guard assembly, which provides a slim design that is easier to hold.

A system for manipulating the engagement interface associated with securing accessories to a firearm. The system includes at least one accessory mount adapter that includes a first side that is constructed to cooperate with an engagement interface defined by a structure, such as a hand guard, that is securable to a firearm. A second side of the adapter defines a second engagement interface that is different than the first engagement interface and is configured to removably cooperate with a firearm accessory.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods are disclosed for use in or with firearms. A firearm barrel trunnion includes a rear portion shaped to couple to a receiver for a firearm. The trunnion includes a front portion shaped to couple to a handguard for the firearm and to support the handguard without the handguard contacting other components of the firearm. A bore is formed within the trunnion, and is shaped to receive a barrel for the firearm.

A plurality of firearm accessory mounting technologies are disclosed. Such technologies enable selective mounting of firearm accessories to firearm rails. Such technologies also enable integration of firearm rail mounting structures into firearms accessories.

A shock attenuation system configured to reduce shock experienced by an optical device coupled to a weapon includes an inner rail support configured to couple to the weapon and at least two outer rail supports substantially parallel to the inner rail support. The at least two outer rail supports are configured to couple to the optical device. The shock attenuation system also includes a first spring feature coupled to a first of the at least two outer rail supports and the inner rail support, and a second spring feature coupled to a second of the at least two outer rail supports and the inner rail support. The shock attenuation system further includes a viscoelastic material coupled to at least one of: the inner rail support, the first outer rail support, the second outer rail support, the first spring feature, or the second spring feature.
