Wirelessly conducted electronic weapon

An electroshock system wirelessly delivers a shock to a subject. The electroshock system may include a launcher, a wireless projectile, a power source, and a wireless power transmitter. The launcher is configured to be grasped by a user. The wireless projectile is configured to detach from the launcher and adhere to a subject. The power source contributes power for the administration of a shock to the subject. The wireless power transmitter delivers said contributed power to the wireless projectile while the wireless projectile is detached from the launcher. The power source and the wireless transmitter may be co-located with the launcher, or may be separate (such as secured to a person or within a vehicle).

SAFETY ASSEMBLY

A safety assembly for use with a laser-directed energy weapon is disclosed. The assembly comprises a control system comprising a photodetector and a processing unit; and an optical device configured to attach to a target such that, when attached, the optical device provides a light beam to the photodetector. The processing unit is arranged to compare the received light beam against one or more predetermined attributes, and to permit the laser-directed energy weapon to fire only when the received light beam is determined to have the one or more attributes.

The invention relates to an optronic device (16) capable of emitting a plurality of wavelengths comprising: an observation camera (24), and a laser unit (26) for each wavelength of the plurality of wavelengths, wherein each laser unit (26) comprises a laser source (36) capable of emitting a laser beam at the wavelength and an optical system (38) having a maximal transmission coefficient for the wavelength.

Projectile entangling device, cartridge and method

A projectile entangling device, cartridge and method for entangling an object. The projectile entangling device comprises a bolt slidably engaging within a receiver. A barrel is coupled to the receiver and is adjacent to a chamber. A gas conduit couples a compressed gas container to the bolt. A valve is positioned within the gas conduit. A trigger activates the valve and dispensing a compressed gas from the compressed gas container, through the gas conduit and exits the bolt. A first projectile and a second projectile are positioned within the cartridge. A tether is coupled to the first projectile and the second projectile. The first projectile, the second projectile and the tether are propelled from the cartridge and expelled from the barrel upon the compressed gas exiting the bolt. The tether elongates for distancing the first projectile from the second projectile for defining an expanding projectile and entangling with the object.

System, method, and computer program product for indicating hostile fire

Systems, methods, and computer program products for identifying hostile fire. A characteristic of a fired projectile is detected using an optical system and the projectile's travel path in relation to a vehicle is determined. If the determined travel path of the projectile is within a predetermined distance from the vehicle, it is determined that the projectile is hostile towards the vehicle and a warning is output.

A restraint device having a tubular body with a handle at one end and a telescopic extension rod at the other end which allows the overall length of the body to be selectively adjusted. A cuff is attached to a tether at the end of the rod in a non-deployed position. The tether can be released so a law enforcement officer can loosely control a detainee. Electrical circuitry in the body is connected to electrodes on the lower end of the handle and on the cuff so a disabling charge can be delivered. The device is also useful to civilians as a protective device when jogging, walking, bicycling or the like.

Electrode for a conducted electrical weapon

A conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”) impedes locomotion of a human target by providing a stimulus signal through the target via one or more electrodes. A propulsion system provides a force that launches the one or more electrodes toward the target to deliver the stimulus signal. The electrodes may be mechanically and electrically coupled to a deployment unit by a filament. An electrode may cooperate with a winding machine to wind the filament into a winding. The winding may be positioned inside the body of the electrode for deployment during launch.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FILTERING MESSAGES

A recording system may use the information stored in a list to determine whether to receive and/or respond to messages transmitted by notice systems. The source of the information for the list includes a server and/or the recording system itself. A server that provides the list may use data provided by an agency to determine a relationship between a people, recording devices and notice systems. The associations between people, recording devices and notice devices may be used to determine what information is in the list. A recording device that forms the list may receive messages from any notice system, detect the session identifier, store the session identifiers from received messages, and receive and/or respond to messages in accordance with the list formed by the recording system.
