A target stand has a generally level bottom surface having at least one protrusion or cavity sized and shaped to leave an impression in an impressionable surface and a top surface having a plurality of wells configured to receive target supports. The plurality of wells may be configured to receive wooden stakes. The one or more protrusions or cavities may be shaped like animals or animal feet, such as pig's feet. The one or more protrusions may be sized and shaped to leave impressions of letters in the impressionable surface.

An apparatus for a target for a weapon is disclosed. The apparatus has a conductivity layer configured to be removably attached to the target, at least one thermal device configured to be removably attached to the conductivity layer, and a power storage electrically connected to the at least one thermal device. The at least one thermal device is configured to heat or cool the conductivity layer. The conductivity layer has a thermal conductivity that is both greater than the target and between 200 W/mK and 400 W/mK.

Embodiments include a disposable shooting target. The disposable shooting target can include a substrate, a first ink layer, a second ink layer, and a third ink layer. The first ink layer can contact the substrate. The second ink layer can be disposed over the substrate. The second ink layer can include a first color that defines a first portion of a target image. The second ink layer can also include a second color that defines a second portion of the target image. The third ink layer can be disposed over the second ink layer.
