Leaching protector for outdoor shooting ranges
The object of the present invention is to provide a leaching protector at outdoor shooting ranges comprising an elastic covering layer arrangement (100), a projectile-arresting material and a drainage arrangement. The covering layer arrangement (100) comprises a security layer (101) covering a security area (110) having a low probability of being penetrated by projectiles and a firing layer (102) covering a firing area (120) having a high probability of being penetrated by projectiles. The security layer (101) and the firing layer (102) are penetrable by projectiles. The security layer (101) is made of a first material and the firing layer (102) is made of a second material.

Bullet trapping apparatus
A bullet trap apparatus preferably includes a housing, a support structure and energy absorbing material. The housing preferably includes a bullet guiding collar, a front energy absorbing panel, a front wall plate, a four sided box, an angled back plate and an angled armor plate. The front wall plate is attached to a front of the four-sided box. The front energy absorbing panel is located between the bullet guiding collar and the front wall plate. A perimeter of the angled back plate is attached to a perimeter of a rear of the four-sided box. Four armor spacers are attached in four corners of the back plate. A rear of the angled armor plate is attached to the four armor spacers. The housing is filled with energy absorbing material. The support structure preferably includes a first side leg and a second side leg and three base plates.

Sheet material for use as a curtain for capturing and retaining firearm-discharged pellets and method for recovery of firearm-discharged pellets therewith
A sheet material characterized by an ability to capture and retain generally-spherical firearm-discharged pellets when struck thereby. The sheet material basically comprises a forward strike face, a rearward back face, and an embedment region therebetween. The strike face is penetrable by the pellets, and the sheet material has a structure adapted to disperse kinetic energy in the pellets upon penetration to cause the pellets to embed within the embedment region without exiting the rearward back face. The sheet material may advantageously be deployed as a curtain at a firearm shooting range in a selected disposition to capture and retain firearm-discharged pellets, thereby to abate environmental contamination from pellets collecting on the grounds of shooting ranges.
