PACKAGING SYSTEMS WITH SIZING MANDRELS AND RELATED DEVICES THAT CAN OPERATE AT REDUCED PRESSURES SUITABLE FOR LOW TEMPERATURE EXPLOSIVES EMULSIONS
Apparatus, systems, devices, methods with thin walled sizing mandrels that are capable of packaging low temperature explosives emulsions at high volumes and lower pressures. The packaging systems can include a rotating table having a vertical column comprising a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart clippers; a pump; and a tubular sizing mandrel in fluid communication with the pump. The tubular sizing mandrel has a downstream end segment that merges into a segment with a plurality of radially spaced apart, longitudinally extending flat outer surfaces, the flat surfaces can be bounded laterally (circumferentially) by chamfered edges.
Explosive matrix assembly
The present disclosure is an explosive matrix assembly that has a first single detonating cord formed into a first grid, and the first grid has a first plurality of detonating cord portions lying in a first plane and a second plurality of detonating cord portions lying in a second plane and the first plurality of detonating cord portions perpendicularly overlay the second plurality of detonating portions. Additionally, the matrix assembly has a second single detonating cord formed into a second grid, and the second grid has a third plurality of detonating cord portions lying in a third plane and a fourth plurality of detonating cord portions lying in a fourth plane and the third plurality of detonating cord portions perpendicularly overlay the fourth plurality of detonating portions. Further, the matrix assembly has a third single detonating cord formed into a third grid, and the third grid has a fifth plurality of detonating cord portions lying in a fifth plane and a sixth plurality of detonating cord portions lying in a sixth plane and the fifth plurality of detonating cord portions perpendicularly overlay the sixth plurality of detonating portions. The matrix assembly also has a first fastener coupling the first grid perpendicular to the second grid, a second fastener coupling the first grid perpendicular to the third grid, and a third fastener coupling the second grid perpendicular to the third grid thereby forming a partial cube.

Axilinear shaped charge array
This invention is a unique arrangement of shaped charge devices in an array to produce a patterned or arranged explosive pattern in a target area. The Axilinear design, in a plural array configuration, solves the limitations of a smooth walled circular linear liner by having opposing corrugations or flutes that have sufficient curvature to converge the liner material so as to obtain ductile Munroe jetting, longer jets, and higher velocities. The individual shaped explosive devices have a liner that produces a single combination jet consisting of a forward rod portion and rearward flattened spade shaped portion, this jet has a velocity gradient form tip to tail. This Axilinear device will produce a combination jet, consisting of a rod forward portion, followed by and connected to a planar symmetric wide spade shaped rear portion.
Axilinear shaped charge liner with parabolic apex
This invention is a shaped explosive device with a liner that has a parabolic apex, which can produce a purely planar symmetric jet. The half pipe liner in the present invention has a parabolic apex or pole toward the aft end, a V notch on each side of the concave wings toward the fore end, and liner base end on each wing. Liner resembles two angled half sections of thin walled pipe butted together at the apex or pole, and when properly driven by a high explosive will produce a spade shaped stretching Munroe jet that erodes a deep elongated hole in a target. Alternatively, this invention is a shaped explosive device with a liner that produces a single combination jet consisting of a forward rod portion and rearward flattened spade shaped portion, this jet has a velocity gradient form tip to tail. When applied in a circular or other polygonal shaped array the Axilinear shaped charges will produce extremely large diameter holes greater than the overall diameter of the array.
