CLOSET CLOTHES DUST PROTECTOR

A closet garment dust protection embodiment that does not rely on the hanger rod but uses other closet surfaces for support and installation primarily the shelf typically located above the hanger rod in a clothes closet. The dust protection system uses an elongated, rectangular panel of typically clear 12 to 20 mil vinyl that is custom cut to width of closet rod/shelf. Preferably 16 to 20 inches in height, the vinyl panel's two ends and one elongated edge are left raw while the remaining long edge is hemmed preferably using one part of a two part hook and loop system which is folded over the vinyl panel edge then stitched or welded into place. Typically the remaining part of the two part hook and loop system, measured to length of cut vinyl is then adhered to designated anchoring point. The hook and loop surfaces are pressed together for attachment. The affixed vinyl panel is then placed over the horizontal surfaces of hangered garments that protrude outward from the hanger rod protecting that portion of hangered garments from dust accumulation. Typically the closet shelf protects that portion of the garments hanging inward from hanger rod from dust accumulation.

The present invention relates to a wall-mounted vertically oriented shoe organizer, the shoe organizer formed from: a backboard, the backboard having a planar shape and the backboard being mounted to the wall and extending in a plane parallel to the wall; a frame, the frame covering the perimeter of the backboard and extended outward therefrom in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the backboard; a plurality of cylinders secured to the backboard, each cylinder extending in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the blackboard and each cylinder defining a recess therein suitable of insertion of a shoe heel; and one or more ledges secured to the backboard, each ledge extending perpendicular from the plane of the backboard and oriented such that each ledge is parallel to the ground when the backboard is mounted to the wall, wherein the shoe organizer stores one or more pairs of shoes, with each shoe in each pair of shoes being supported on the shoe organizer via one of: inserting the shoe heel of the each shoe into one of the cylinders and resting the shoe heel of the each shoe along one of the ledges.

Each support arm may comprise a tongue configured to engage a groove defined by a surface of the post.

More specifically, the base unit may be mounted on a surface such as a wall or door; and a pivotable frame may be hingedly mounted to a bottom portion of the base unit. Hats may be clamped between pivotable clamping mechanisms that are attached to each of a plurality of rungs disposed between side portions of the pivotable frame. When a top portion of the pivotable frame is rotated away from the top portion of the base unit, the pivotable frame is rotated about an axis at the bottom of the base unit until a stopping mechanism suspends the pivotable frame at a predetermined angle from the base unit.
