BROADHEAD CASE APPARATUS

Arrow point cases and related methods are disclosed. One arrow point case holds arrow points such as broadheads between retaining members that contact the shaft or body portion of the arrow point without contacting the blades of the arrow point. The retaining members have a generally C-shaped cross section and are removably attached to a shell of the case. The retaining members are elastically flexible and are deformable upon insertion of the arrow point into a retention position in the case. The case stores and transports arrow points without contacting the blades so that blades may remain sharp and securely stowed until needed. Some methods allow an arrow point in the case to be attached to an arrow or bolt shaft without removing the arrow point from the case.

PACKAGING SYSTEMS WITH CLIPPER TRIGGER AND RESET CAM ASSEMBLIES EACH COMPRISING A PLURALITY OF CAMS AND RELATED CAM ASSEMBLIES

Packaging systems with a rotatable table top held by a rotatable column, a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart clipper assemblies held at respective clipper stations provided by the rotatable table top, plurality of spaced apart pneumatic valves under the table top in fluid communication with the clipper assemblies, and at least one of: (a) a clipper reset cam assembly held under the rotatable table top with first and second reset cams cam that selectively automatically engage the pneumatic valves as the table rotates; and (b) a clipper trigger cam assembly held under the rotatable table top circumferentially spaced apart from the clipper reset cam assembly with first and second trigger cams that selectively automatically engage the pneumatic valves as the table rotates.

Packing for hollow charges

A packaging for hollow charges for use in blasting applications in boreholes retains fragments in the event of unintentional ignition of the hollow charges. The packaging withstands and dissipates the pressure generated. It is proposed that the hollow charges are embedded in a solid material which captures the fragments, the solid material has pressure relief openings through which the pressure generated during a detonation of the hollow charges can escape, the solid material is covered with shock-absorbing material on the top side and on the base side of the packaging, the hollow charges are packed in pairs such that there are always two hollow charges situated with their openings facing each other, the axes of symmetry of the hollow charges are arranged in a plane perpendicular to the top side and base side, and the solid material is inserted with the hollow charges and the shock-absorbing material into a cage.

LIGHTWEIGHT AMMUNITION BOX
20180038674 · 2018-02-08 ·

An ammunition box with a rectangular molded thermoplastic material box body defining a rectangular storage space for ammunition. The box body opens to one side that can be closed with a flat rectangular molded thermoplastic material lid. The box body is provided with integrally molded hollow collapsible projections at its corners for preventing damage from impact to the ammunition box. The lid can be provided with corresponding integrally molded hollow collapsible projections that preferably form an extension of the integrated molded hollow collapsible projections of the box body when the lid is in the closed position.

PORTABLE STORAGE UNIT WITH INTEGRATED MOUNTING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF

A portable storage unit includes an integrated mounting system and a rugged, weatherproof design that facilitates transport. The rigid main body of the storage unit includes a bottom cover having a bottom surface with a recessed central region positioned between adjacent side regions that extends between top and bottom surfaces of the main body and facilitates mounting the storage unit to a tree or other mounting structure. A top cover has a lip that extends over an edge of the bottom cover and a gasket creates an airtight and watertight seal therebetween. At least one hinge couples the rigid top cover to the rigid bottom cover and an anchoring member coupled to a top surface of the main body. Accessory panels provide attachment points for storage on exterior and interior surfaces of the storage unit.

BROADHEAD STORAGE UNIT WITH SHARPENING GUIDE AND METHOD

The present specification relates generally to hunting tools and more specifically to a broadhead storage unit with a sharpening guide and method. The broadhead storage unit includes housing for a broadhead and a reversible lid including a sharpening guide. The sharpening method including grasping the protrusions on the reversible lid, lifting the reversible lid out of the housing, flipping the reversible lid, replacing the reversible lid back in the housing such that the broadhead extends from the broadhead storage unit, and running a sharpening device against the broadhead.

SHIELDED APPARATUS

A shielded apparatus comprising a device and a shield, and a method of producing a shielded apparatus. The device attenuates x-rays by different amounts in different parts of the device, providing a first span of x-ray attenuations. The shield comprises a layer of x-ray attenuating material that attenuates x-rays by an amount that varies across the shield, providing a second span of attenuations. The second span of attenuations has a magnitude between 20% and 120% of the magnitude of the first span of attenuations.

Weapon system ammunition canister lid

Provided is an ammunition container lid for use with an ammunition canister. The container lid includes a four-sided frame, a cover, a hinge assembly, a feed tray, a latch, and a Last Round Switch. The hinge assembly includes a repeating pattern of ammunition can hinge sections, feed tray hinge sections, and cover hinge sections with a rod holding the sections together. The lid has an integrated aerodynamic forward face that matches the curvature of the ammunition can. The feed tray assembly is incorporated into the container lid to prevent a reduction in ammunition can capacity. The cover and feed tray rotate on the same axis, thereby resulting in simplified, ergonomic operation, which eliminates the problems inherent in current designs that can open directly into the airstream during flight. The inventive lid does not require special tools for installation/removal and does not reduce ammunition can capacity.
