Fuze arming techniques for a submunition
According to an aspect of the invention, there is provided a fuze arming system for a submunition, comprising: a first stage, arranged to detect launch of the submunition and its associated carrier; a second stage, arranged to detect expulsion of the submunition from the carrier, and to at least partially arm a submunition fuze based on such detection; wherein the second stage is unable to at least partially arm the submunition fuze without the first stage detecting launch of the submunition and its associated carrier.
Payload platform for unmanned vehicles
A system that is mountable to an unmanned vehicle and a method of operation is provided. The system includes an attachment plate configured to couple to the unmanned vehicle, the attachment plate having a first feature. A control module is configured to removably couple to the attachment plate, the control module having one or more processors and a power source, the control module having a pin arranged to move from a first position to a second position when the control module is coupled to the attachment plate, the one or more processors being energized when the pin is moved from the first position to the second position. A payload having an energetic element is provided, the payload being coupled to the control module.
CHEMICAL AGENT DELIVERY RECEPTACLE WITH REUSABLE DIGITAL CONTROL CARTRIDGE
A digitally controlled hand-tossable explosive delivery receptacle comprises a ruggedized reusable compartment enclosing a digital circuit and a disposable cartridge holding one or more explosive chemical agents and a primer. The disposable cartridge is configured to be mounted to the ruggedized reusable cartridge, and a high-strength bulkhead incorporated into the reusable or disposable compartment that separates the digital circuit from the chemical agents. The reusable compartment is sufficiently ruggedized to withstand the ignition of the primer and the detonation of the chemical agents to be reused with one or more additional disposable cartridges. In one implementation, the delivery receptacle uses a commercial airbag initiator as the primer, which is arranged in relation to the one or more chemical agents so that when the initiator is activated, it generates a pressure wave that expels the one or more chemical agents from the grenade.
PAYLOAD PLATFORM FOR UNMANNED VEHICLES

The system includes an attachment plate configured to couple to the unmanned vehicle, the attachment plate having a first feature. A control module is configured to removably couple to the attachment plate, the control module having one or more processors and a power source, the control module having a second feature arranged to move from a first position to a second position when the control module is coupled to the attachment plate, the one or more processors being energized when the second feature is moved from the first position to the second position. A payload having an energetic element is provided, the payload being coupled to the control module.
Igniter unit and munition
The invention relates to an igniter unit for a munition, comprising a housing and at least one pyrotechnic charge, the igniter unit comprising a control and communication device arranged in the housing and at least one interface connected to the control and communication unit and arranged in the housing.

BOOST PUMP
A detonator installation (10) in which a detonator fire capacitor (36) which is connected in series with an inductor (18) is charged from a low voltage source (16) by repeatedly opening and closing a switch (20) thereby to cause a collapsing magnetic field in the inductor (18) which results in a charging current flow to the capacitor (36).
ELECTRONIC FUZE FOR PROJECTILE
An electronic fuze for a projectile, the electronic fuze including at least one electronic board arranged in a housing of the body of the projectile, the electronic board being encapsulated in a block of protective material. The electronic board is secured to at least one support rod partially encapsulated in the block of protective material. The support rod is inserted through a hole in a wall integral with the body of the projectile, and the support rod is secured to the wall by a fastening device. A first decoupling devices is interposed between the block of protective material and the wall and a second decoupling device is interposed between the fastening device and the wall. The electronic board is located towards a front part of the projectile and the wall is located towards a rear part of the projectile.

Fuze indication system
A device for monitoring the status of a munition fuze is disclosed. The device includes a visible marker; an indicator strip, capable of actuation, from a first state to a second state; and a power source providing power to the munition initiation system, the visible marker and/or the indicator strip. The visible marker and indicator strip are positioned to be visible to an observer when the fuze has been fitted for use on said munition and activation of the power source causes switching of the visible marker from an off state to an on state and actuation of the indicator strip from a first state to a second state, such that the power source's activation is indicated by the actuation of the indicator strip to its second state. The visible marker remains in an on state only if there is sufficient power to operate the initiation system.
