Breaching device with tamping gel
A breaching device includes a body having a tamping material. The body has a target surface that is configured to face a target to be breached and a backing surface that is opposite the target surface. The tamping material is formed of gel and is configured to reflect an explosive force directed way from the target surface towards the target surface.
Current feed-through wireline release tool and method
A wireline release tool for downhole intervention, the tool including a housing having an electrical input and an electrical output; a pass-through switch located inside the housing and electrically connected between the electrical input and the electrical output; and a circuit limiter device located inside the housing and electrically connected between the electrical input and the electrical output. The pass-through switch is connected in parallel to the circuit limiter device, between the electrical input and the electrical output.
COMPACT ENERGETIC-BREACHING APPARATUS
A compact energetic-breaching apparatus is provided. The compact energetic-breaching apparatus is configured to receive energetic materials for use in energetic breaching. The compact energetic-breaching apparatus may comprise a housing body with a receptacle to receive energetic materials. The compact energetic-breaching apparatus may further comprise a tamping material. The compact energetic-breaching apparatus may further comprise a metal liner which collapses upon detonation to form a cutting jet.

Apparatus and method for blasting
The present invention provides an explosive method that improves on methods currently employed. The present invention provides for a safer, less expensive, and more portable explosive device. The elements of the present invention replace dynamite or similar explosives currently used in avalanche control and bore hole blasting of rock or other solids. The present invention comprises an apparatus and a method providing a much safer alternative employing a highly confined combustion reaction of a flammable vapor, whereas dynamite is a category 1.1 high explosive imbued with all the attendant safety and security concerns. The method of the present invention provides for an improved and safer method of blasting employing a highly confined combustion reaction of a flammable vapor instead of conventional explosives currently used.

Pyrotechnic energy conversion system for ejection assembly
An energy conversion system may comprise a substrate including a first conductive trace and a second conductive trace electrically isolated from the first conductive trace. A housing may be coupled to the substrate. An ignition compound may be located in the housing. A solder may be thermally coupled to the ignition compound such that ignition of the ignition compound melts the solder. The housing may be configured to output the solder onto the first conductive trace and the second conductive trace.

Firing stand for shaped charges
A firing stand (30) for mounting a plurality of shaped charges. The firing stand (30) can be configured by a user between a transport configuration in which shaped charges are stored for transport, and at least a first firing configuration from which shaped charges can be deployed. Inter-connected rotating panels (31) may be used to provide user configurability to the firing stand (30), with shaped charges optionally being mounted in panel apertures (36). The firing stand provides for rapid and configurable deployment of multiple shaped charges.
