The performance portal is configured to retrieve the device list from the first portal, and further configured to request meter kpi data for the at least one of the plurality of devices in the device list from the data repository.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING POWER CONSUMPTION OF AN APPLIANCE
20230194581 · 2023-06-22 · ·

A method for monitoring power consumption of an appliance within a space is provided. The method includes obtaining a first set of data indicative of power consumption of the appliance during an interval of time and determining a profile indicative of power consumption of the appliance based, at least in part, on the first set of data. The method includes obtaining a second set of data indicative of power consumption of the appliance subsequent to obtaining the first set of data. The method includes determining whether power consumption of the appliance deviates from the profile based, at least in part, on the second set of data. Furthermore, in response to determining power consumption of the appliance deviates from the profile, the method includes providing a notification indicative of power consumption of the appliance deviating from the profile.

Method and apparatus for meter actions based on socket identification

A metering system for metering consumption of a commodity. The metering system includes a meter socket, a meter, and a controller. The meter socket has a tag with identification information. The meter includes a sensor configured to read the identification information from the tag of the meter socket and provide a signal indicative of the identification information from the tag. The controller includes a memory and a processor and is configured to record energy consumption data from the meter. The processor is configured to receive the signal indicative of the identification information of the tag and associate the energy consumption data with the identification information of the tag. The processor is further configured to store the energy consumption data associated with the identification information of the tag in the memory.

ENERGY DEMAND MONITORING METHODS AND SYSTEMS

A configured mode of operation of a wireless sensor node unit can selectively activate a first subset of sensor channels of data and selectively deactivate a second subset of sensor channels of data. The configured mode of operation customizes the sensor functionality in the wireless sensor node unit in support of the delivery of data streams to customers.

System and method for detection and alert of energy resource outages

A system for alert of energy resource outages includes: a resource monitor, disposed within radio range of resource meters that each transmit corresponding radio signals indicative of corresponding meter identifiers and current readings, configured to: determine whether the corresponding radio signals are fixed frequency or frequency hopping by scanning frequency channels for a time period and counting hits of desired meter identifiers; decode each of the one or more of the corresponding radio signals of the resource meters according to determined protocol to obtain one or more of the corresponding meter identifiers and current readings; and transmit the one or more of the corresponding meter identifiers and current readings; and a server, configured to: receive the one or more of the corresponding meter identifiers and current readings; employ the corresponding meter identifiers and current readings to detect an outage; and transmit an alert that corresponds to the outage.

UTILITY GATEWAY
20170353325 · 2017-12-07 ·

A remote gateway and method for managing a network of utility meters, the remote gateway forming part of a system comprising one or more utility management components, a plurality of local gateways each adapted to communicate with one or more utility devices, the remote gateway comprising logic configured to communicate utility data between the plurality of local gateways and the one or more utility management components over one or more secured wide area networks, WANs. Manage digital certificates for certifying the communicated utility data.

INTELLIGENT STANDPIPE
20170350100 · 2017-12-07 ·

A standpipe (15) for drawing water from a mains water supply. The standpipe includes an inlet 9 having a first coupling (7) configured to enable the standpipe to be connected to a hydrant outlet of the mains water supply and an outlet (5) having a second coupling (23) configured to enable a water delivery hose to be connected to the standpipe. A flow meter (3) measures a volume of water flowing from the inlet to the outlet and a data logger (19) is connected to the flow meter and records the volume of water measured. A global positioning system (GPS) module determines the location of the standpipe (15) when the flow meter 3 detects the water flow and a wireless communication module transmits the recorded volume of water and corresponding GPS location to a central monitoring facility (27).

Autonomous topology validation for electrical supply network

A system for autonomously validating the topology information of an electrical power distribution system is provided. For example, the system includes a group of meters previously determined to be connected to the same transformer of an electrical power distribution system. The group of meters is configured to perform family check periodically or upon request and to identify orphan meters in the group. The identified orphan meter can contact a community device communicatively connected to meters in more than one group to request a community check. The community device performs the community check by contacting meters in other groups of meters and obtain their family signature data. The community device further determines whether the orphan meter belongs to a new family based on the voltage data of the orphan meter and the family signature data of other groups. The orphan meter can report the community check results to a headend system.
