A flow measuring device includes a first sensor device that responds to one stimulus caused by a fluid medium flowing through a measurement section by registering a first measure representing a first type of physical characteristic of the fluid medium, and a second sensor device that responds to another stimulus caused by the fluid medium by registering a second measure representing a second type of physical characteristic of the fluid medium, the second measure being independent from the first measure, and the first and second measures both being dependent on the flow of the first fluid and on the flow of the second fluid in the fluid medium in the measurement section, the first measure and the second measure being sufficient to solve both a first function that defines the flow of the first fluid and a second function that defines the flow of the second fluid.

MICRO-POSITION GAP SENSOR ASSEMBLY

A micro-position gap sensor assembly, including a structural housing, a flexible diaphragm fixedly attached at a first end of the structural housing, and a shaft orthogonally attached to the flexible diaphragm. The micro-position gap sensor assembly may further include a first retainer coupled to the shaft, a second retainer formed as a step of the structural housing, and a plate gap sensor. The plate gap sensor may include a non-contact sensor plate biased by a compression spring so that the non-contact sensor plate is held against a portion of the second retainer. The plate gap sensor may further include a target plate positioned adjacent the non-contact sensor plate and separated therefrom by a gap. The target plate may be biased by a return spring so that the target plate is held against a portion of the first retainer. The target plate may be coupled to the shaft.

Method for testing the resistance of a tyre to pressure loss

A method for testing a punctured tyre's resistance to a loss in pressure includes: creating a plurality of punctures in a wall of the tyre by inserting a plurality of puncturing objects through the wall; running the tyre with the puncturing objects in the wall thereof over a given distance with a regulated inflation pressure; stopping the running of the tyre; and determining, for each puncture, a pressure loss resistance index based on an estimate of a leak rate of the puncture.

A boiler load analysis apparatus (10) includes an opening sensor (15) provided to at least one of a fuel supply line (45) and a combustion air supply line (50) of a boiler (40) and configured to measure an opening degree of at least one of a fuel flow regulating mechanism (47) configured to regulate, with the opening degree, a fuel flow in the fuel supply line (45) and a supplied air flow regulating mechanism (54) configured to regulate, with the opening degree, a supplied air flow in the combustion air supply line (50), and a load analyzer (20) configured to calculate a steam load of the boiler (40) from a measurement value of the opening sensor (15), to analyze the steam load of the boiler (40).

In one example, the method comprises initiating a vibration on a wall of the conduit at a first location, capturing a response to the vibration at the first location, capturing a response to the vibration at a second location, and determining at least one physical property of the material based on at least one of the captured responses at the first location and the second location.

In the method, the slurry is treated in an at least one overflow flotation cell and the valuable metal containing ore particles are recovered by conducting the continuous upwards flow of slurry out of the at least one overflow flotation cell as slurry overflow. At least part of the slurry overflow is conducted to a further treatment step in a treatment system.
