A sliding cover for a liquid delivery device, such as a cap (100) for a pen injector (200), incorporates a set of sensors including a first optical sensor (110) with an output which changes during uncapping or capping motions on passing of a plunger (220) of the pen injector. This output is used together with at least one additional sensor output to determine the position of the plunger along a cylinder (210) of the liquid delivery device. By monitoring changes in the plunger position, the quantity of dosages delivered by the liquid delivery device can be determined, displayed, stored and/or transmitted to an external device for further data processing or storage.

Adjustable dosing fluid dispenser for flexible fluid packages

A device for dispensing fluid from a fluid container, the device capable of being set to different discrete and repeatable/equal dispensing amounts, depending on the amount of fluid required to be dispensed by the user for various applications and uses. The device may also be set to an off or closed position to prevent accidental dispensing of fluid when not in use. The device is preferably configured to be affixed to the outer surface of a fluid container, which fluid container is preferably a flexible bag or pouch.

Dosing device to equip a container and container including such a device

The invention relates to a dosing device designed to equip a container including a deformable reservoir containing a product. The device includes an insert that includes a dosing chamber that can be deformed by pressure from the product coming from the reservoir. The dosing chamber includes a top valve for the intake of the product from the reservoir, a bottom valve dispensing the product, and a deformable body connecting the top valve and the bottom valve. The dosing chamber is configured such that, under pressure from the product coming from the reservoir, the top valve is closed by the deformation of a first portion of the chamber, the bottom valve remaining closed, whereupon, the bottom valve opens under the effect of the deformation of the body.

FLUID DISPENSING DEVICE

A fluid dispensing device includes a housing unit, a storage unit and a discharge module that are disposed within the housing unit. A weighing module includes weighing sensors. Each weighing sensor has an attachment portion attached to a bottom wall of the housing unit, and an abutment portion disposed below the bottom wall oppositely to the attachment portion. A control module controls the discharge module to dispense predetermined amount of fluid outside of the housing unit. The control module is able to determine whether a weight of fluid in the storage unit is smaller than a predetermined value according to a weight of the housing unit measured by the weighing sensors.

Method for protecting and unprotecting the fluid path in a controlled environment enclosure

A controlled environment enclosure comprises a robotic arm manipulation system used to protect and unprotect a fluid path and a swab within the controlled environment enclosure. The apparatus allows the fluid path to be protected against dangerous decontamination vapors and chemicals before the controlled environment enclosure is decontaminated. The apparatus allows the fluid path to be unprotected without the use of gloves or other means that degrade the integrity of the controlled environment enclosure when decontamination is completed. The apparatus and method allow for the protecting, unprotecting and decontaminating sequences to be automated. In some embodiments the fluid path comprises a fill needle that can removably and aseptically be sealed with a disposable monolithic injection moulded polymeric fill needle sheath. The apparatus and method further allow for the use of a swab disposed in a swab holder that is aseptically and removably sealable to a swab cap to protect the swab against decontamination vapors.

Product dispensing device

A system, device and method for dispensing a product includes a delivery system that includes at least one auger with internal flighting that is either integral with or attached to an internal wall of a barrel portion of the auger. The auger rotates and the spiral flighting within the auger transmits a product from a bulk loading station to a product dispensation area. Thus, products can be bulk loaded into a device rather than having to be loaded one-by-one into a dispensing device. The spiral flighting reduces pinch points associated with conventional auger systems.

Metering system for solid particulate

An improved air handing system for a particulate metering system is provided. The system includes a flow path with an inlet in communication with an intake and an outlet in communication with one or more discharge points. A blower can be in communication with the flow path at the intake and provide an air flow to the flow path. The system can include a plenum within the flow path and in fluid communication with the blower. A plurality of ports can be disposed on the plenum and within the flow path. Each of the ports can be in communication with a discharge point. The system can further include air flow directing members within the flow path. Each of the air flow directing members can be in communication with a separate one of the ports and one of the discharge points.

System and a Method for Constant Micro-Dosing and Feeding of Powder Material

A system and a method for a constant micro dosing of powder material include a control device, a cylinder with a first opening and a piston movably arranged inside the cylinder and controllable by the control device. The piston is movable in the direction to or away from the first opening along a piston stroke direction. The cylinder stores the powder material between the piston and the first opening. The piston pushes the powder material through the first opening by moving along the piston stroke direction. Further the system and the method include a removing device for removing the powder material which is pushed out of the first opening of the cylinder. The control device controls the piston and the removing device in a synchronized manner such that a predetermined amount of powder material pushed through the first opening is removable by the removing device.

Dispensing device

A dispensing device for introducing a pourable detergent in metered amounts into a treatment chamber of a program-controlled cleaning appliance includes a housing provided with a loading aperture; a carrier unit rotatably mounted in the housing and accessible via the loading aperture and which serves to replaceably receive a supply container for holding the detergent; and a housing cover providing fluid-tight closure of the loading aperture. The housing cover includes a cover member providing the fluid-tight closure of the loading aperture and a locking member movably attached to the cover member, the locking member including a plurality of locking elements, each cooperating with a respective locking finger disposed on the housing.
