A system and method for dispensing a powdered pharmaceutical into a bottle is disclosed. The system includes a filler having a powder filler head and respective weight sensor, two or more draft shields, and one or more static reduction devices. In some embodiments, the system also includes one or more dust extractors. In some embodiments, the static reduction device is an active static reduction device, such as one or more static bars. The two or more draft shields may include an inner draft shield to reduce small pressure and/or airflow changes and an outer draft to reduce large pressure and/or airflow changes.

METHOD FOR WEIGHING CONTAINERS AND RELATIVE WEIGHING UNIT

A method for weighing containers arranged inside a holding structure includes providing a holding structure suitable to house in a substantially stable position at least one container, said at least one container including a supporting portion shaped so as to keep the container suspended on the holding structure, bringing said at least one container to a weighing station including a weighing member suitable to weight said at least one container, weighing said at container by means of said weighing member; wherein the weighing step is carried out by moving the holding structure so as to put said at least one container housed inside the holding structure in contact with the weighing member kept in a stationary position, until the detachment of the supporting portion of said at least one container from the holding structure is obtained.

Material weight measurement system with automatic tare associated with object presence detection

Systems and methods here may be used to sense razor handle usage, and/or product content in a container, send information to a local wireless device which may in turn, inform a back end system. In some embodiments, the systems and methods may then utilize the information about the container and send a message regarding inventory status, place an order for a re-fill, and/or aggregate usage data of the container or handle.

Material saving canning system

Techniques and systems for seaming containers are described herein. The canning system can include a seamer assembly and a seamer controller. The seamer assembly includes a load cell assembly which weighs the containers and communicates with the seamer controller to determine if the container is to have a lid seamed onto the container based on the satisfaction of a predetermined weight criteria. The seamer controller is designed to receive weight measurements of the container, determine a weight criteria and whether the container has satisfied the weight criteria, command the seamer assembly whether to seam a lid to the container based on the satisfaction of the weight criteria, and send a command to the reject station to remove the container if the weight criteria is not satisfied.

APPARATUS FOR GRAVITY EMPTYING BOTTLES CONTAINING FROZEN BLOOD PRODUCT COMPRISING A UNIT FOR MONITORING EMPTYING AND EMPTYING METHOD

Disclosed is an apparatus for empting bottles containing frozen blood product. The apparatus comprises an automatic unit for checking the weight of emptied bottles. The automatic unit comprises a load detection system for measuring the weight of emptied bottles, an air pressure measuring unit for measuring the pressure in the room in which the emptying apparatus is located, and a measurement compensation unit for correcting the load value on the basis of the room pressure measurement. The weight-checking unit generates a not empty signal if the value of the corrected load is greater than or equal to a predetermined value.
