IMPROVING PERCEPTUAL QUALITY OF DEREVERBERATION
A method for reverberation suppression may involve receiving an input audio signal. The method may involve calculating an initial reverberation suppression gain for the input audio signal for at least one frame of the input audio signal. The method may involve calculating at least one adjusted reverberation suppression gain, where the at least one adjusted reverberation suppression gain adjusts at least one of: 1) a reverberation suppression decay based on a reverberation intensity detected in the input audio signal; 2) gains applied to different frequency bands of the input audio signal based on an amount of room resonance detected in the input audio signal; or 3) a loudness of the input audio signal based on a direct part of the input audio signal. The method may involve generating an output audio signal by applying the at least one adjusted reverberation suppression gain to the input audio signal.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OBTAINING AT LEAST ONE ACOUSTIC PARAMETER OF AN ENVIRONMENT
At least one acoustic parameter of an environment is obtained by emitting a sound signal emitted, receiving a sound signal received, estimating a sampling frequency shift and of a temporal shift between the emission and reception devices on the basis of impulse responses obtained on the basis of portions of the sound signal received and of corresponding portions of the sound signal emitted, obtaining a corrected sound signal received by applying to the sound signal received a sampling frequency shift correction and a temporal shift correction on the basis of the estimating, determining the impulse response of the environment on the basis of portions of the corrected sound signal received and of corresponding portions of the sound signal emitted, and obtaining acoustic parameters of the environment on the basis of the impulse response.

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for adjustment of room sound levels, comprising; driving a speaker with a known waveform, detecting a sound wave from the speaker with at least two microphones wherein the at least two microphones are configured in a known orientation, utilizing the known waveform and the sound wave detected by the at least two microphones and the known orientation of the at least two microphones to generate a room sound dynamic; applying a filter to adjust a sound level to account for the room sound dynamic. The room sound dynamic may be the speaker layout of the room, the room impulse response, the distance or angle of each speaker from the center of the room or other physical constraints that may affect the user's perception of sound coming from a sound system.

The method includes: reverberation parameters which indicate, at respective moments, reverberation levels of a room environment where the device is located are acquired from an audio signal played by the device; and a de-reverberation mode adopted by the device is dynamically adjusted according to the reverberation levels indicated by the reverberation parameters at different moments and preset correspondences between reverberation levels and de-reverberation modes. By adopting a dynamic de-reverberation mode, the method and the apparatus disclosed herein significantly improve the rate of the recognition of a device for the voice of the user.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING VIRTUAL VENUES FOR A LISTENING ROOM
In at least one embodiment, an apparatus for generating virtual venues in a listening room in a vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a vehicle audio controller configured to receive an incoming audio signal including entertainment data from an audio source for playback and to receive at least one captured audio signal from at least one microphone positioned in the listening room of the vehicle. The vehicle audio controller is further configured to receive a control signal indicative of a desired venue to playback the entertainment data and to adjust reverberation of at least one of the incoming audio signal and the at least one captured audio signal to playback the entertainment data in the desired venue.

In at least one embodiment, an apparatus for generating virtual venues in a listening room in a vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a vehicle audio controller configured to receive an incoming audio signal including entertainment data from an audio source for playback and to receive at least one captured audio signal from at least one microphone positioned in the listening room of the vehicle.
