Certain embodiments describe a privacy or cubicle curtain system and a carrier utilized by the system. For example, certain embodiments can be directed to a breakaway carrier. The breakaway carrier can include a first holder comprising one or more first legs and/or a second holder comprising one or more second legs. The breakaway carrier can include a central leg located between the first holder and second holder. The breakaway carrier can include a chain having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is located in the first holder and the second end is located in the second holder.

A system and method for feeding and fixing snap connectors of a ripple fold curtain system, in which a drum mixes loose snap connectors, successively introduced individually in an opening in the drum for letting one of the snap connectors out. The orientation of the one of the snap connectors is forced by having the opening have a height smaller than the width of the snap connectors. After travelling while maintaining their orientation aligned with motion, each snap connector is received in the same orientation at a receptacle comprising shoulders for retaining a larger portion of the one of the snap connectors, the receptacle retaining it at a definite location and maintaining the orientation. A rivet is positioned on that larger portion of the snap connector and snapped using a hammer of which the surface is parallel with the snap connector and underlying receptacle bottom surface.

Aspects of the invention provide a solution for mounting a hanging using a set of mounting devices including magnets. A mounting device includes a first and second portions at least one of which generates a magnetic field, such that a surface of the first portion is attracted to a surface of the second portion. The first portion includes another surface configured to be secured to a support structure. The hanging can be at least partially supported by placing a portion of the hanging between the attractive surfaces of the first and second portions.

A suspension system for a drapery item in which the drapery item and a suspension element are provided with magnetically attracting elements. The suspension system also provides mechanical interference to assist in countering forces exerted on the drapery item so that the drapery item is not solely supported by magnetic attraction.

A window shade may include a shade, and each of a top portion and a bottom portion thereof has a mount bar. The shade is installed into a sliding unit through the mount bar on the top portion of the shade, and the mount bar on the bottom portion of the shade is coupled with a weight track. The mount bars on the top portion and the bottom portion of the shade are adapted to enable the shade to horizontally install on a top track of a window curtain and also to enable the weight of the weight track to be evenly distributed on the bottom portion of the shade, thereby smoothing the operation of the shade.

The shade is installed into a sliding unit through the mount bar on the top portion of the shade, and the mount bar on the bottom portion of the shade is coupled with a weight track. The mount bars on the top portion and the bottom portion of the shade are adapted to enable the shade to horizontally install on a top track of a window curtain and also to enable the weight of the weight track to be evenly distributed on the bottom portion of the shade, thereby smoothing the operation of the shade.

A drapery carrier installation system includes carriers, each having a carrier body and to engage with a track for hanging drapery; an installation rack for holding the carriers relative to one another prior to installation, the installation rack having protrusions for engaging with the carriers; the carriers are secured above the top surface of the installation rack; and the installation rack is removed via a downward or sideways force applied to the installation rack, thereby releasing the installation rack from each of the carriers.
