A number of mounting systems are provided for mounting a sheet element with respect to a rail element. In one example, the mounting system includes an elongate mounting tape having a first longitudinal edge portion and a second longitudinal edge portion spaced by a width spacing from the first longitudinal edge portion. The first longitudinal edge portion is configured for being affixed to the sheet element. The second longitudinal edge portion includes a plurality of rail-engaging elements in spaced relationship along the second longitudinal edge portion, the rail-engaging elements being configured for engaging with the rail element and for enabling selective longitudinal movement between the mounting tape and the rail element. The mounting tape is elastically deformable in a width direction, at least when the mounting tape is affixed to the flexible sheet.

The present application provides a roller bearing system comprising one or more bearings having a plurality of substantially hemispherical members. Each member includes an interior. A sleeve is disposed within each hemispherical member interior and configured to accept a shaft that passes through each hemispherical member, such that the hemispherical member turns about the shaft. Each also includes at least one stem coupled to the shaft. The stem is configured to provide a point of attachment to a particular bearing.

Multi-piece two-hook hanger for a shower curtain
09578995 · 2017-02-28 · ·

A hanger for a shower curtain comprises two opposing direction hooks and a captive roller for riding along the top of a curtain rod. A base part of the hanger has a hub with both a hook and a cradle at the lower end of a shank. The hook faces in one planar direction and a cradle faces in the opposite direction. The base comprises a spindle lying in said plane; the roller is rotatably captured on said spindle. The cap portion of a closure mounts on the free end of the spindle to keep the roller in place. The closure comprises a hook portion at the end of the shank; the hook portion mates with the cradle of the base. Preferably, the closure is rotatable about the spindle end, so that when the closure hook is disengaged from the cradle there is an opening which enables the hanger to be mounted and dismounted from a curtain rod.

QUICK RELEASE CURTAIN SUPPORT ASSEMBLY
20170049275 · 2017-02-23 ·

A curtain support assembly enables quick, one-handed installation and removal of a panel, such as a shower curtain, from a shower rod. The assembly includes a panel, a first mounting bracket, and a second mounting bracket. The first and second mounting brackets serve to join the panel to a rod. The configuration of the mounting brackets allows the panel to be pulled from, or attached to, the rod in a singular directional motion. Each mounting bracket has a gap that extends from a central opening to a corner of the mounting bracket. When the panel, and thus, the first and second mounting brackets, are folded in a coplanar disposition, the first and second gaps mirror each other. This gap orientation enables a singular directional manipulation of the panel for attachment and detachment to the rod. Additional pairs of mounting brackets extend across the panel as additional mounting points.

An adjustable-width barricade for removable installation at the bottom of a staircase includes a flexible, frameless, planar, and generally-rectangular barrier member that extends between two posts on either side of the staircase. The barrier member is installed in a banister-to-banister configuration, a wall-to-banister configuration, or a wall-to-wall configuration. The barrier member has a front and back surface that forms an interior space therebetween. The adjustable-width barricade further includes a plurality of fasteners extending from one or both sides of the barrier member for tensioning engagement between one or both posts that maintains the lateral or horizontal integrity of the barricade. A plurality of rigid, structural support members are removably insertable in vertical channels within the interior space of the barrier member to provide vertical structural support when the barricade is installed across the bottom of the staircase or, alternatively, when the barricade in in a rolled-up stowed configuration.
